He may as well bring his ass back here for that amount....

Lol I know it was never gonna happen...I’m just saying his ass should be humble enough at this point to see that maybe he isn’t worth what he thinks he is & maybe change his outlook on ****...ala Vernon Davis after Singletary got in his ass.
“But, but he had all the leverage!”...
I read an article earlier that he "dropped his asking price" to $17-$18 million a year. Isn't that in the range of what we offered him?
If he wanted to get paid he should've gone to Miami.
I'm enjoying rubbernecking the car wreck that's Clowney's 1st trip in FA. He thought he was screwing the Texans (He did) but he screwed himself even worse. Genius, LMAO
Atleast Nuk was smart enough to take a losing orgs $$$$ since getting paid was his 1st priority and things appear to be working out well for him.

The Hawks have not officially moved on entirely. But with Griffen in the mix, they are thought not to be looking to pay anymore than $13-15 million. The Jets have already walked away. The Titans who showed some interest are unlikely to be able to fit him under the cap after they signed OLB Vic Beasley for $9 milliion.Thing is in the world we live in today he ain't gonna get paid that much.
No org is going to pay him without looking at his medical records or giving him a physical. I'll bet you after they get a look at those Clowney makes 13-15 mil on a short 1 or 2 yr deal. He got some terrible advice from somebody. Seahawks have already moved on.
“appear” is the correct term there. I have serious misgivings that Nuk is gonna get the raise he thinks he’s gonna get too. Arizona’s cap situation is trash right now even with them unloading Johnson. Then u have Patrick Peterson - 2020 is the last year of his deal. Even if they franchise him for 2021 it’s gonna cost them....Slay and Jones just got 16 per. Chandler Jones is owed 20 & 21 million for this year and next...they’ll have to make a decision on him he’ll probably get restructured or shipped out.....& they just franchised Drake who will be looking to get paid after this year. Kirk will be coming due in 2021.
May not be in their best interest to give him an extra 5 mil a year either.

Guess what every player in the leagues 1st priority is? I'll give you a hint: it starts with "M" and rhymes with money.
Clowney will end up getting a prove it deal at like 9-10mil. And then probably be a FA again.
That offer was over 3 weeks ago. A lot of things have changed with Seattle. New acquisitions and very tight monies make his signing much less likely.Last I heard Seattle has a two year $18M/yr deal waiting for him if he can't find better.

Report: NFL’s contingency plans include shortened season, empty stadiums
April 15, 2020, 7:56 PM EDT
The NFL’s official position is that it’s planning to play a full season in full stadiums. It’s unofficial position is far more pragmatic.
According to the Washington Post, the NFL’s contingency plans include a shortened schedule and playing games in empty or partially empty stadiums.
“As we have said, we are committed to protecting the health of our fans, players, club and league personnel, and communities,” the NFL said in a statement issued to the Post. “We look forward to the 2020 NFL season, and our guidelines and decisions will be guided by the latest advice from medical and public health officials, as well as current and future government regulations. We will continue to plan for the season and will be prepared to adjust as necessary, just as we have done with free agency, the draft, and now the offseason program.”
Beneath that thin patina of confidence, the NFL is planning for playing without fans at all to playing with some fans to playing fewer games.
As a result, the NFL’s schedule — which will be released by May 9 — is being structured to provide maximum flexibility.
He is just an idiot plain and simple.
Exhibit A.) He is a massive douche who have never been liked in a locker room BY THE MAJORITY of the team. He still fails to understand that synergy in a locker room is necessary and often times teams looks for a veteran presence to teach the youngsters how to be pros. No Owner in their right mind wants a a guy like this viewed as a mentor.
Exhibit B.) He wildly overestimates his worth. He wants AT LEAST 13+ million a year for never having 10 sacks a year. His production is nothing more than a barely average player. He defends the run well in fairness but so do a lot of guys who don’t want the money he does.
Exhibit C.) He fails to realize his injury history will prevent teams from wanting to sign a bunch a guaranteed money. He is completely delusional to the summof his production.
million dollar potential ten cent head and nickel capitalization.
Hopefully we got a couple of OLmen who would love to stick it to our AFCSouth rivals. The Daft wasn’t exactly brimming with edge rushers, which could play to Clowney’s advantage. While teams like the Washington Redskins and Carolina Panthers appeared to address that concern, not a ton of teams got significantly better at rushing the pass rusher after the past three days.
Bleacher Report identified four teams that could be in the market for Clowney now that the draft is over. Writer Paul Kasabian named the Cleveland Browns, Indianapolis Colts, Tennessee Titans and Seattle Seahawks in his latest piece.
Cap space is an important factor to consider, and the first three teams Kasabian named have that in abundance. Per OverTheCap, Cleveland, Indianapolis and Tennessee all have over $20 million in cap space left.
Seattle is the only one of the four who don’t look like they can afford Clowney, who is reportedly seeking between $17-18 million per year with a new team.

According to this guy JDC is most likely to return to the AFC South with a team not based in Houston, Tx.
And don't you just know that Clowney would love to stick it to O'Brien not just once but twice a year.

“if his price was something the Eagles thought was fair, he’s already signed. No one is all in on anybody this time of the year, it’s May 6th.” - @AdamSchefter

“I wouldn’t classify it right now as something ‘real & serious’. Clowney wants teams to think there’s 5 teams interested in him.” - @AdamSchefter
