Bigger fish to fry than Watson. His mistakes I can look at objectively and say they are a product of a rookie (albeit a phenomenal one) facing a stout NFL defense with more than a few confident veteran players waiting for him to do rookie ****. Bill O'Brien's mistakes are the kind that he should have ceased making years ago. He's a 4th year NFL head coach and he's still trotting that worthless RB out there to get yards he can't get. The mistakes of the defense have been pointed out again and again. You just can't track a game like this back to one or even two INT's (INT's he then led the team to answering TD's on) and say "Yeah, blame Watson for this one". You could say "Watson didn't help" but then you should add "But then he's a rookie and hopefully this is stuff he learns from".
You can't say "Well, maybe O'Brien will not run Miller up the gut again next week when the game is on the line and everyone in the world knows its coming because he's as predictable as they come and you know damn well that's exactly what he's going to do no matter how many times it costs us a game. You can't say "Well, maybe next week Kareem Jackson won't commit a stupid penalty to give the other team a 1'st and goal" because you know that's his MO. You can't say "Maybe next week Kevin Johnson will cover his guy better" or "Maybe Andre Hal will become a decent safety" because none of that's ever going to happen. Those guys are always going to be the same **** players they are today and they're going to keep doing it along with the rest of the scrub club in the secondary for as long as we rely on them just like the OL is going to keep killing drives and getting Watson hit until we upgrade them.
All these other fucked up things have been going on a lot longer than Watson has been throwing picks here so obviously people are going to blame that stuff first. Bigger fish.
