This team is one of the worst coached I recall watching .... Worse that the Cleveland Browns or Raiders .... OB needs to go.

Since the pink soap wasn't strong enough to wash the stench of sh!t off this club .... I asked False Start to mix us up a batch of Fire Smith & OB Clorox .... Here's the result:

Hi after watching the defensive players running around throwing their hands up in the air, yelling at each other, not knowing what to do early in the game yesterday and now OB naming Hoyer the starter I'm all in on the pink soap. This team is a disaster. I've never given up on a coach this soon but this is as unorganized poorly coached team as I've ever seen.
 
Burn it to the ground.

I don't care if you replace OB or not. This franchise needs changes from the top all the way down.

Until that happens we're all just wasting our time and money.

If we don't have a new GM next year it won't matter who the coach is.

This is just a disaster, I mean damn, why make shi+ so damn complicated that the players have to take a damn course on the schemes, and get a certificate or some crap. I can just tell by the players body language that they are either not getting it, or just don't give a fk. :thinking:

I think Seattle and the 90's Cowboys believe in keeping it simple and using your athletes . That's the best formula , the KISS method which is keep it simple stupid . Let your young guys react instead of thinking unless of course you have video .

Combine "S" in Rick Smith's last name with the "OB" from O'Brien's last name and what do you get?
 
This team needs to employ scorched earth policy. Burn it all down and then something pretty can grow from the ashes.

I can take none of the credit .... I just wanted some pink soap . Powda said soap wasn't gonna cut it we need something stronger and suggested bleach .... I simply asked False Start (he's made all my sigs & avatars since 2005) to make us some pink bleach.

Speaking of Sigs .... I need a new one <thinking>.
 
Start from scratch, fire em all. I preached from jump that O'Brien would be in way over his head, and we all know that Rick is doing his best to sabotage the franchise. Atlanta was the first time that I can remember that I just stopped watching, that's not MY Texans on the screen. This week, I didn't care anymore ... it was the only football game on, so I with overwhelming apathy watched it. I don't really follow baseball or basketball, the NFL is my sports fix and Rick, O'Brien, McNairs and the rest have done their best to kill my passion for the hometown team.

I actually like all of them on a personal level, but I'm surprised that after 2 years remote from the last regime, we still don't have a face palm for O'Brien, Crennel and Godsey.:chef:

I am in. Smith should have been already gone, OB has totally lost me this year. This is the first year that I have actually turned off the game on a Sunday afternoon.

Good news SWTOR is coming out this month with a new storyline so I can play that on Sunday afternoons.

I'll stick with the sack over my head. It's always been in reference to the "Unknown Comic" on the Gong Show, but now it can suffice with a double meaning. This is truly the sorriest team I've seen in Houston since the '72 and '73 Oilers, and this coach has reminded me of Ed Biles who followed Bum Phillips. Just another plate of warmed up dung served in large quantities.

The bag reminds me of 'Aint's Fan .... Bastards made me hate them talking all that smack once they finally won a SB.


This team is so bad across the board its just not funny .... and how the hell the defense sucks this bad with so many good parts is beyond me. Thanks Romeo ....

I know why the offense is so offensive .... Hopkins , Foster , Jones , Brown and 7 no talent goons.

The only thing special about special teams is the number of penalties .... every time they kick off / punt I expect the other team to break a big one.

Coaching ? Are they actually coaching anything .... They must be teaching Mullet how to throw the ball at receivers feet and the receivers , especially the TE's how NOT to catch the ball .... Sure as hell aren't teaching the defenders how to tackle but its quite obvious they are teaching blockers on return teams how to block in the back or hold.

Hell I haven't even gotten to No QB .... What's that ?!

OB an NFL caliber coach ? No .... Tricky Rick an NFL talent evaluator ? You must be kidding me.


Once again this franchise is the laughing stock of the league .... At least the Oilers played dirty.
 
I do not understand this season. I knew this defense was going to be very, very good. I thought Mallett was going to play well... and I knew, with certainty, that Bill O'Brien was among the best head coaches in the NFL. So, I would be in the market for the pink soap, but why should my opinion mean anything?
 
So does the "Pink Soap" mean "washing my hands clean of this team" of does it mean "washing away all the garbage this team has for a clean start".

Either way i will watch all the damn games, i wonder why i punish myself the way i do. I will continue to root for the garbage i see on Sundays, and i will continue to turn my TV off pissed off after the games. I am like a crash dummy who loved his job i guess.

So no pink soap for me, i mean just look at that cuteness i just couldn't bear it...

Jones has been pretty good at center .... Better than Brooks this season IMO tho I don't consider Brooks a no talent goon (Just couldn't list too many without minimizing the point of the post , a lack of talent at multiple spots)

The offense is short of talent at several spots - LG , RT , TE , QB , WR2.

I do believe that Newton would do well at LG, where his lack of movement skills wouldn't be so exposed. RT/TE are huge needs. I would add a RB like Vereen to the list. This team is still needing to add speed in the worst way. Strong is supposed to grow into a WR2, I've got my doubts.
 
I don't like what I'm seeing at all, but I can't do it yet. It's too soon for O'Brien and I think Rick Smith is just the finance guy (who McNair sometimes overrides anyway). OB better win at least 5 more games this year AND find his QB by the start of next season. Personally, I'm just starting to hope he goes winless and Kyle Shannahan finds the QB.
 
I'm going to be completely candid. I'm not looking forward to Sunday. Not because I think we'll lose, but because I think we've got a chance to beat a team as pathetic as us - which in my opinion could be a bigger loss. I'm trying my best to avoid directly posting any "I told you so's", but I feel I'm turning into 'Playoffs' signature, which is NOT the fan I want to be. I'm going to be here for 16 games, jersey on and tailgating with the family, posting year round because Texans are my passion, but it's really starting to eat at me that I'm more interested in a loss at this point to ensure that we go another route once this current disaster ends.

I'm sure some of the Kubiak detractors can relate, and we all secretly hoped that Kris Brown would shank against the 49'ers, but this is not a setting that should be happening with my football team.
 
I know how ya feel Scooter, I love the Texans. But, it doesn't keep me from laughing at them when they deserve it.
