I know it's the last Pre season game and we're all in a hurry for the regular season opener, but let's be honest who wouldn't enjoy us whooping the **** out of the Cowboys ?

Texans - 31
Cowgirls - 3

Their starters might be in for the first quarter, but the powers that be will be acting like it's a biggie. But screw it, it's PRESEASON who cares.

Why would who wins this game possibly be important to you ? It's a meaningless preseason game. But there is one thing that's important: no injuries, and accordingly I sure hope and would expect that Billy plays no one who he' expects to use in the RS opener vs KC.
If impressing the Cowboys and their fans is this important to you, then just go be a Cowboys fan with the rest of them. You'll have your little Dallas jersey and they will be impressed with you. That's what you really want is't it ?

You are right, I came off too strong on that.
 
Symbolically, Texans win 19-10. Wilfork beats Romo up before the game and eats all of his crownies. Dez Bryant's mother is caught in the restroom doing unspeakable things to people for money. Dez finds out, loses it and ends up suspended for the season. Jerraha has a reaction to the plastics in his face.
 
Charles James goes all Deion Sanders with a INT return for a score in the first half then does his best Barry Sanders with a 80 yarder for a score in the second half and absolutely assures himself a spot on the final 53.

The preseason is over. Our starters are healthy (for the most part). Bring on the Chiefs!
 
I predict that the worst thing about the last preseason game is that it's on a Thursday and it seems like FOREVER until the first Sunday of the real season gets here.

I don't really care if we win or lose. I hope Savage does well along with all of our young guys who are getting up to speed. Continued growth and improvement.

I would love to see that happen. Now we all know that this is going to be mostly guys fighting for a roster spot vs. guys fighting for a roster spot and all of that but it should translate into a couple of teams that are fairly evenly matched and if Savage went off on the Cowboys, having a big 3-4 TD night it would really spin up the LET'S SEE SAVAGE! talk. Texecutioner's head would explode and it could turn this season into the kind of ticking time bomb we all know we really want to see. Hoyer's gonna screw up or get hurt. I don't think I've heard a single person say that they don't expect one of those two things to happen. Mallet is going to get his opportunity to go out there and show everybody that OB made the wrong choice but wouldn't that be so much more interesting if he did it while half of the fanbase was still clamoring for Savage after seeing him tear up the Cowboys.

It would truly be that moment...

I predict that Savage will play well enough against players that won't even be in the nfl next week and that people will start calling for him to be the starter. I also predict that our scrubs will beat the crack wagons scrubs 24 - 13 and that I will watch the entire game of scrubs play at an all most unwatchable level. fml

The funny thing is Tom Savage is better than their backups.

This new guy sounds like Bob Costas but without a great voice.
Could be why Spencer Tillman doesn't sound as good as color commentator.

Most of the time you're only as good as the play-by-play guy.

I've seen two Saints preseason games, when they didn't play the Texans on FOX. And Joel Meyers made those fun to watch like he used to do in Texans games.

People want to see more of him because he looked pretty decent in a regular-season game at Indianapolis, a place we've never won before, before getting hurt as a rookie. But at this point it will take more injuries for him to see the field in the 2015 regular season. I'm not sure I buy all the Tom Savage hype, as I don't think he's ready to be a number one guy, but I certainly wish him the best.
 
I really wanted us to sign Dustin Vaughan as a UDFA last year. Nice to see he's still chasing his dream.

I've got Tuggle making the 53... what do you reckon?
 
I've been liking Justin Tuggle's effort all preseason long.
Two straight tackles that drive. He plays at a high level every time.
He plays a good special teams *gunner in coverage* as well.

Savage has too much rust. We don't play him enough with the first unit.
Running the scout team most of the time he's lucky to run a good screen.
Then again with Arian Foster out we're missing that superstar on screens.
 
Dallas just ran a beautiful screen. Dustin Vaughan. Hello! I didn't know he had that kind of touch. Maybe we should have signed him considering we played four quarterbacks last year.

First-round talent if he hadn't gotten hurt at Rice...
6th round steal. First-Team Conference USA as a sophomore.
