2014 NFL Draft Thread

Rick smith just confirmed clowney would be an olb in this defense.

Also, stated they were always going to go with clowney unless they were overwhelmed with an offer. No one called while they were on the clock.

Not Aaron Rodger'd?

Only time will tell. Hopefully he does way better than Brady Quinn though. Just making the observation that Brady Quinn was also sulking when he was falling in the draft. I didn't get to see Rodgers when he was drafted.

Jayson Braddock @JaysonBraddock
What I'm hearing is that the #Texans are very likely to get back into the 1st round. They would have traded up for Bortles if here now.

wonder who replaces Antonio SMith

Early for James? Only time will tell I guess.

People thought we reached for Duane Brown.....

Arizona: I had them taking Kyle Van Noy.

I´d say right now we`ve got to make sure we get either Manziel or Bridgewater. Probably a trade with SD gives us the choice between the two or with Carolina gives us whoever Cleveland doesn`t take. I am hoping Bridgewater is our guy. What a great draft it would be if we`d get Clowney and Bridgewater. Just a couple of weeks ago both were realistic #1 options...

Best part is that you are not married to either like it's 1-1. Big difference between having a bust QB at 1-21 to 1-32 than 1-1.

I don't think KC can take manziel.

They need someone to help them now. They are looking to win the division and someone that can play from day 1 is more likely to help with that.

I don't know if we trade up.

Texans might be content with Carr, manziel or tb at 2.1

Are they willing to give up a pick for a 5th year option? I don't know.

They probably like 1 of them a lot more than the other two... Carr thre 60% of his passes 0-5yds and only completed 50% when pressured. Manziel is a wildcard. I´d take Bridgewater, who can`t throw deep accurate balls.

Texans will never take Carr. Too much of a PR disaster.

Would have no problem with it personally, but I doubt McNair would ever consider it

My gut says they are happy with Palmer and will look for a QB later in the draft, someone like Murray.

Hopefully you are right. As I type, one other thing texans have to worry about is a team behind then in the second moving up for a qb. Oakland, minny...maybe Tampa...

Whatever the case may be, San Diego's pick just turned into a gold mine for anyone looking to trade up for a QB. They are sitting in front of Cleveland and Arizona.

Carr played in the offense he was asked to play in.

But physically he is the best qb all around in the too if the draft. I don't know what they would and wouldn't do, but if they have Carr rated higher than the guys left they should take him. Winning and playing well would quickly alleviate the bad feelings from the fan base.
