Why just tonight discovered what must be a hidden jem @ Fresno State (yeh David Carrs alma-marter) RB Dwayne Wright who rushed for 295 yds on 25 carries for a 11.8 avg. outstanding understanding of the position, break away speed, change of direction, excellent hands out of the backfield & size 6-1 220. He would be excellent in Kubiak's system he makes one move then runs downfield with ability to change direction @ full speed.

well, his name hasn't been floating around any of the draft circles that I know of yet. I'd say he goes later than the 2nd, even with a good combine.

Couple of guys who are off everyones radar are , Travis Cooley (55) LG for So. Miss. and Mark White C (60) of So. Carolina. Mark White made all of his combination blocks yesterday and the QB went over his rump on the GL qb sneak. Down side is the Gaines Adams big play came over him. But hey it's Gaines Adams. He dominated the Clemson inside all day. Both guys may fall through and be very cheap pratice squad canidates. So...I'm only hot for the OLT prospect early. Got Landry listed, but after last night, Baker will work.

I'm a huge LSU fan and I'm going to tell you right now that you don't want Alley Broussard. He was amazing in 2004, but he is not good anymore.

Very solid. I like it. I need to look into Taylor more, especially before I take him over Dan Conor.

I also like Reggie Nelson more than Landry. Nelson has great measurables and great awareness. He makes plays happen and can hit like a load of bricks. He's big, super fast, and has great hands and reactions.

give the guy a break he is only 16 month removed from major knee surgery. i have been impressed with how he has been running as of late, hitting the hole hard and breaking some tackles. he just isn't getting enough carries to get into a groove, actually not lsu rb is. I expect him to be close to his 2004 form next year and share time with keiland and charles scott.

Well, I'll give this a shot (aka, wild guess).

I'll go hard after an OLB in free agency. My 3 targets are:

Adalius Thomas (may be too expensive)
Lance Briggs (pricey, but just about right)
Cato June (very affordable)

As for the draft, assuming we end up at #4 & that the 1st 3 players selected will be Quinn, Thomas, & Johnson, that'd leave us with Adrian Peterson at #4. While I would have no problem selecting AP, I feel that a stud CB will go a lot further in getting us where we want to be.

So, I'd give Green Bay (currently #7) a call & see if they'd be interested in trading The #7 pick & their 3rd & 4th round picks for the #4 pick. I'd even accept the #7, their 3rd, & 5th round picks for the #4 pick. Depending upon their answer, I could draft one of two ways:

With Trade Down

1st) Darrelle Revis (CB) -- The more I read about this kid, the more I like him.

2nd) Reggie Nelson (FS) -- I'll be praying he drops to us in the 2nd round. Otherwise, I select Michael Griffin (FS). Of course, if Landry should slip this far, I'd take him first.

3a) Samson Satele (C/G) -- Very strong & extremely quick for a 6'3" 312lb. man.

3b) Manuel Ramirez (G) -- Hey, 2 O'Linemen in the 3rd round worked out well for us last year. Why can't we do it again? This would solidify our OL for years to come.

4) Tyrone Moss (RB) -- 5'9" 240lbs. -- Powerful runner with the ability to change direction without losing any speed (4.55 40).


With No Trade Down

1st) Adrian Peterson (or, one of the other 3 top players)

2nd) Reggie Nelson (FS) -- I'll be praying he drops to us in the 2nd round. Otherwise, I select Michael Griffin (FS). Of course, if Landry should slip this far, I'd take him first.

3rd) DeAndre Jackson (CB)

4th) Samson Satele (C/G) -- If he falls to the 4th. Otherwise, I'll take Manuel Ramirez (G).

I also dont think that Poslusnzy is worth a top ten pick so I wouldnt be happy with that pick. In fact, I'm not sure any of the LBs are. The only one that I could see going top ten is Willis from Mississippi.

There isn’t anything on the field that Posluszny cannot do. He is a true linebacker through and through. He is tough as nails, and has excellent instincts. He quickly diagnoses the action and reacts and flies to the football, wherever the action flows. Posluszny isn’t afraid to stick his nose in amongst the lineman, but also has the physical ability and awareness to play in space and make plays.

The only worry with Posluszny is his knee. He injured his right knee in the Orange Bowl, though it did not require surgery. He’s apparently back at full strength, but still has questions to answer. Physically speaking, he is not lacking in any area, but Posluszny does not possess any standout physical gift either.

Had Posluszny not been hurt last year, he may have declared for the NFL Draft, and was a definite first round pick had he done so. The same should hold true this year. As long as he stays healthy, he will be one of the best defenders available
