Man stop the silly madness. JezzzzzzChip Kelly was never interested in staying in college. Our QB might not be a someone easy to coach. Hence why we still don’t have an OC.

It could say and we have read post that indicate there was no conversation between the Texans and Chip Kelly at all. Therefore he did not have an opportunity to accept or decline CJ Stroud.Chip was going to be getting paid handsomely wherever he went. He was not taking a lower offer for CJ Stroud and that actually says a lot.
Well, Kubiak didn’t bother. Neither did Kelly. So far none of the top “options”.It could say and we have read post that indicate there was no conversation between the Texans and Chip Kelly at all. Therefore he did not have an opportunity to accept or decline CJ Stroud.
Our QB has to be babysat. Yes that pisses me off. He also has no business picking the OC. They really gave Bobby two years to figure it out, fired him and have no legitimate options. None of these names mentioned have a shot at being more creative than Spags.Man stop the silly madness. Jezzzzzz
Wut?Well, Kubiak didn’t bother. Neither did Kelly. So far none of the top “options”.
$6 million a year and the Raiders don't have a QB. That's insane. And Tom Brady OK'd this? It's being reported that the Raiders are making Kelly the highest paid assistant coach in the NFL. 6 million per year, 3 times his salary at OSU.
That's a fat sack of cash
Wouldn't mind Stenavich. With his background in coaching OL, this might address our OL problems. But his lack off passing game experience is a concern. Ideally, we would need a Passing Game Coordinator, to address this aspect of the offense. Perhaps Jarrod Johnson could be elevated to this position if our intent was to stay with the WC. Or someone else. If we wanted to move to the Spread, perhaps we could entice Nixon with an offer. Or someone else.Stenavich -WC - OL coach who was promoted to offensive coordinator in 2022. Make no mistake Matt LaFleur runs that offense in Green Bay
Brian Johnson - Spread - Mixed on him, his NFL stints are related to gifted QBs who can motor. When he was let go by the Eagles, the players felt the same way I assume our players felt about Slowik. The Commanders offense is driven by Kingsbury, don't know what influence Johnson has there
Calen - WC - I have an unfair bias against him just because he was with the Patriots and we all know what made that offense go and what happened afterwards. He has 2 years with McVay as a TE coach but McVay's other decent disciples have been OCs at some point prior to their success
Nixon - spread - IMO a wildcard, a decent first year as an OC at the collegiate level at Syracuse. His QB was an Ohio St starter who transferred and was coming off an 11-1 season in the Big 10
None of those give me a warm fuzzy but whomever is hired I'll get onboard
Kubiak and Kelly were the two prizes in this cycle. Neither was interviewed for whatever reason.
I think they are talking about Klint Kubiak. The Saints started on fire in 2024Honest question - what made Kubiak a prize get? That’s to anyone.
Some of Kubiak’s critiques were he couldn’t adapt on the fly. Another is if he couldn’t run on first and second down then his offense sputtered.
He did good work with what he was given which wasn’t much. OL problems, QB problems, WR problems etc.
Outside of his last name and family connection what made him most desirable?

Chances are pretty high that it wont be Shanny offense...Even the WCO guys they have interviewed are from the McVay said of that street.Honestly, I want to get away from the Kubiak/Shanny style of offense.
It's only rare because coaches voluntarily retiring is rare. Usually the league retires them by not giving them a job. It's rare that a coach succeed another more than on an interim basis.
Far as I know the Texans have not reached out to him, so he's probably not choosing sin city over space city
Still Pete Carroll coming back I doubt he’s thinking short term. I doubt a promise of succession was made. If so Pete better be wearing Kevlar on his back. It's only rare because coaches voluntarily retiring is rare. Usually the league retires them by not giving them a job.
Unless Demeco got a $3-4M raise before signing Chip Kelley, I don't see a reason for you to dwell in that house any longer. I'm convinced they have their guy and will announce something soon. I'm getting a little anxious myself, just hoping they hit a homerun at OC.So I am wanting to be pissed about Chip Kelly, but the whole Kelly was offered double what any OC made last year and would make significantly more than Ryans tells me that I need to just move on.
You think Bobby was scapegoated? Did we watch the same 17 games?Aaron Wilson says Caley officially.
Hopefully this team can stay healthy so that we don't have to scapegoat another OC.

Well the source in front of your eyes says no one has accepted the OC position yet. Which makes sense if the QB is a brat.
In a sense. OL was a big problem, they fired the OL coach. You think Bobby was scapegoated? Did we watch the same 17 games?

Offense never fixed anything & laid some serious eggs, where does the HC culpability come in?
The man is 73 and the oldest coach in the NFL. I doubt he'll be coaching 5 years from now.Still Pete Carroll coming back I doubt he’s thinking short term. I doubt a promise of succession was made. If so Pete better be wearing Kevlar on his back.
“Nick” “C”aley and “Nick” “C”aserio have more than their first name and first letter in their last name in common.
Both went to John Carroll University.
Both Nick’s were with the Patriots when they were on top of the hill.
I suspect these guys know each other pretty well and Caley has plenty of experience at 42 years old. He’s still coaching TE’s up, but he added passing game coordinator to his resume with the Rams. Rams had a nice season.
Maybe it’s time for his shot.

The Strouds? Really?! Grow up, dude! This guy hired was highly selective and chose The Strouds.
The Strouds? Really?! Grow up, dude!
It’s The Houston Strouds!![]()
Sounds more like the guy responsible for the portion of the team that performed the worst, and honestly showed no improvement during the season and a step back from last year, was let go. Not sure I'd call that scapegoating. In a way he was. He deserved going for not adjusting to our **** injury situation and putting the team in a position to succeed but let's be forthright about the fact that that's why he was, and not because he sucks even if all things are good. I think he may be better elsewhere. Don't think he's doomed to suck.
They weren't getting rid of DeMeco and not Caserio and not team members.
It fell on Slowik.

Under performing guy got fired from job. Happens every day, around the world.Alright taking the fall whatever haha. Whatever you wanna call it. I just think that this team will suck again if the roster is held together by fuckin dental floss.

For anyone who hasn’t watched this set aside some time to give this a look. It’s good!
Perhaps he can help bring young Cade Stover along and bring the best out of him.“Nick” “C”aley and “Nick” “C”aserio have more than their first name and first letter in their last name in common.

Why?A decision should have been made already. Aaron Wilson said it is a popular opening. Doesn’t seem like it.
Right about CJ.If it's true about Kelly considering he was seen at the airport, I can understand. Good situation at OSU just having won the National Championship. But both he and Pederson are probably more interested in HC jobs than being coordinators. I was all in on Kelly. I'll be fine with whoever they hire, provided we see some results. If **** still stinks next season, then it's on Demeco and Nick, and potentially CJ. The problem with blaming CJ is that you can easily fire a coach and find another one. You can't just go and find a QB of CJ's quality... And I think any reasonable person would agree, CJ is the best/most talented QB this franchise has ever had. We really don't want to f'k it up with him...
Under performing guy got fired from job. Happens every day, around the world.
Don't think he "took the fall" or was scapegoated, Slowik did not meet expectations and got fired for it. The injuries don't excuse the eight (7?) week drought of touchdowns in the second half.
Or do you think the offenses underperformance was the fault of someone else?
Why is Kubiak a prize?Raiders are going after Russell Wilson for a short term fix.
Kubiak and Kelly were the two prizes in this cycle. Neither was interviewed for whatever reason.
To clarify..I’m not saying the current regime will be fired if Kelly balls out and our new OC does not. By downfall…I’m saying just that Folks from fans to ownership will be marking them down and worried they can’t choose an OC… and yes eventually…it could lead to firings, but no not after 2025.
