I'd like to vote QB, but I really don't like the way you worded either QB choice. Honestly this is the first QB draft class I've liked in a few years and I think people are going to be surprised at how many are taken in the first 2 rounds.
My second choice would be OL or RB. I basicaly want offense for the first 4 picks we get.

They're trying to prove that they are mentally tough and unsentimental enough to do whatever it takes to win, but they try too hard and end up supporting really bad ideas... Like trading JJ Watt.
Here's an idea: Trade draft picks to move up and get your unproven talent, and leave alone the proven Greatest of All Time talent that we have on our roster. Or apply to be Cleveland's new GM.

Good point. I was just thinking, the Browns have done everything that the "experts" say we should be doing to ensure we have the best product on the field. Fire coaches every other year, fire the GM, draft first round QBs, draft "trouble" players, draft in the top 10 every year..... everything that's been suggested, that's what the Browns do.
The Browns new GM is on the phone, he wants to know if we'd be interested in trading Watt, Hopkins, K. Johnson, and out next two #1's, a 3rd, and three 6th's for Manziel.

After missing out on Teddy B, I take the best QB available without hesitation with our first pick.
Had we drafted Teddy 1st overall it would have been a 'reach' because he lasted to 32, in actual fact we'd have spent the pick on a franchise QB.
(I am still optimistic about JD btw, but hindsight has us stacked at pass rusher even without him, he was a luxury pick and his injury problems don't even factor in that assessment at this point, Merci has grown into a really good player at that position.)
I'll never take the term reach seriously again.
Failing that OT may well be our next biggest need. Duane Brown has been a great player for us but that is one nasty injury at an age when maybe you begin to think if he comes back and the pick works out then you can move him around on the line and strengthen 2 positions anyway.
I've seen great RBs come from any round it's about talent identification, coaching, and scheme at that position rather than investing a lot of value where one bad knock and they're gone.
Still the irritating problem
of the playoffs to endure before we begin thinking about the draft though

Coker/Wentz/Hack/OT
I still don't think Bridgewater is a franchise QB. I'd much rather Connor Cook or Kevin Hogan right now & if Jared Goff is what everyone says, I'd want him too. Paxton Lynch. I'd rather have Paxton Lynch.
Greg Robinson. We should have drafted Greg Robinson & we'd be prepared for life after Duane, whenever that comes.

At the time of the 2014 draft, Robinson was my #1 choice. Let's just say that after two seasons, I'm more than okay with the fact they didn't go that direction.
I'll probably get pummeled for saying this...But, I'd go after Bradford and look at drafting a QB late first or 2nd.

At this point, I'm just starting to build up my draft board. The only position I'd consider off my board is CB, and I probably wouldn't draft FS high because I think Hal is doing a great job. And I probably wouldn't draft OLB high but I probably would draft OLB in the middle rounds if someone good was available.
My dream scenario at this point would be to get Ezekial Elliot in the first and Wentz in the second.

Robinson has been an abject failure in St. Louis. Bottom 10 blocker by PFF and top 5 in penalties. The last rankings I saw had him rated 74th out of 79 OT's (Matthews was 13th and Lewan 17th). This after finishing 74th out of 78 last year. Granted, he was a project and immediately got thrown into the fire by the Rams, but he has not acquitted himself whatsoever.
Agree on Clowney. If we were dead set on running a 3-4 then we should have taken Mack.

I understand. I wouldn't have thrown him in at Left Guard. He'd have started at RT & hopefully be ready to slide over by next season if needed.
If we could get Elliot and Wentz I'd be very happy... then maybe add a Haeg or Murphy and a very speedy WR like Addison next couple rounds I'd be doing backflips down I-45

Eh, Bradford isn't a bad quarterback. But I think we've all had quite a bit of the injury bug with quarterbacks to not go after someone who hasn't been able to stay healthy.
Other alternative...switch to a 4-3, put Clowney's hand in the dirt and draft a DT. Okay, I just wanted to toss something in there to mix things up
But yeah, I'm like everyone else. BPA though really hope that BPA is a QB to finally get some stability at the position. But if it isn't then don't force it. Pick the best available and keep it moving.
Who are we considering a top QB? I'm seeing mock drafts where only three QBs go in the first round & Cook, Wentz, & several others are still on the board. I'd love to have Cook. Several people are hot on Wentz.. Kevin Hogan looks good to me as well. But... we may be able to get one of those guys in the second. Maybe later.
We can probably get Hogan in the 4th.

RB - I don't really want to use a #1 on a back ..... unless he's AP and those guys don't come around often. Hunt has been pretty damn solid as the 3rd down guy the past few games. He brings the big play ability this group of backs had been lacking .... Blue / Grimes / Hunt ... not spectacular but you can win with that group.
LT - Brown or no Brown .... think about Brown @ LT & the rookie @ RT ..... and Newton as the swing guy (Or gone).
ILB - Someone who can cover backs & TE's. Maybe you get the best ILB in the draft late in the round ... a rea impact guy while other teams are picking the 4th , 5th , 6th best OT / QB.
TE - one that can get open , catch & block.
WR - Wavering on this one , Strong has improved .... maybe not enough ?

Hal has been a huge part of the improvement in the secondary ....

having really been paying attention to college QB but Cook look Bad yesterday I did see that so I bet the Texans are down on cook but yeah I like all 3 on the map Wentz Hogan and Hackenberg
but knowing O brein he like to find those Underground Gems has we seen today with the Tackle from Miami to take Browns Roster spot I bet same with the QB I bet he thinks he could find a Good QB in the 3rd if Rick and Mcnair would let him LOL but they will prob force him to look for one in the 2nd
Colin Kaepernick is a guy I'd rather bring in to give a look to. Somewhere along the line he got screwed up but if you draft a Zeke Elliot and pair him with a reasonable free agent like Miller from Miami or even keep Hunt or Grimes I think he can be effective and BOB can fix him. He's a strong arm guy who's been accurate when at his best. He'd have to come super cheap because he's been bad but I'd take him over RG3.

I agree with that. But it will be tempting if a TE like Hunter Henry from Arkansas is available.

If the BPA is a surprise and a real prize, you have to go with that. Otherwise, even if you reach, you should go for position of need. Henry would be nice, at this point, so would a stud O lineman. I can't wait for the draft.
