Which really isn't saying much.Best case what? Worst case... we have a better quarterback than we've ever had? And that includes Watson...
When Stroud wins a big game that will be a 1st.

Like I said, you have to care to be butthurt.Lol... is that what it is? I've been here a long damn time. Your contributions are appreciated. Stop being butthurt if someone called you a racist at some point. It happens.
I'm sorry you feel that way.Like I said, you have to care to be butthurt.
I stopped caring about 2 months ago and I'm just going to give my thoughts. If you dont like them then take them with a grain of salt.
Stroud doesn’t have to be the second coming of Tom Brady to make this offense work.Tell me Stroud is going to be great and I give than an A.
Tell me Stroud is slightly above avg and I give them an F for being stuck in high end mediocrity, all in the name of putting butts in seats.
He will not believe in the young man because that’s not who he wanted the Texans to draft. Stroud could put over 4000 yards, 44 TDs with only 5 interceptions. Lose in the second round of the playoffs. He would still say he’s only a middle of the pack quarterback and he will never lead this team to a superbowl. When he doesn’t like a player, no one will be able to convince him otherwise.Stroud is going to be great.
He actually may be the most underrated player in this draft.... and that's a weird thing to say about someone who was drafted 2nd overrall. The future is bright my friend. Enjoy it.
You need to be as good as Mahomes to beat Mahomes in the playoffs. Doubtful Stroud's that guyStroud doesn’t have to be the second coming of Tom Brady to make this offense work.
If his name was Vince Young I’d be right there with you, but this doesn’t smell like a butts in seats thing but we need a better QB thing.
And I don’t think this has to with the name CJ Stroud with you but everything to do with the name David Mulugheta.
1. Philadelphia Eagles
2. Indianapolis Colts
3. Houston Texans
1-2 C.J. Stroud, QB, Ohio State
1-3 Will Anderson Jr., Edge, Alabama
2-62 Juice Scruggs, C, Penn State
3-69 Tank Dell, WR, Houston
4-109 Dylan Horton, Edge, TCU
5-167 Henry To'oTo'o, LB, Alabama
6-201 Jarrett Patterson, C, Notre Dame
6-205 Xavier Hutchinson, WR, Iowa State
7-248 Brandon Hill, S, Pitt
Favorite pick: C.J. Stroud, QB, Ohio State
These rankings focus just on the players added, not on trade value or compensation given up. Unsurprisingly, then, the Texans rank pretty high as they landed two of the best players in the draft class. Will Anderson Jr. is a cornerstone player that Houston can build around, but Stroud gives the organization an exciting future at the sport’s most important position.
Day 3 pick who could surprise: Jarrett Patterson, C, Notre Dame
I liked Juice Scruggs better, but my grade on Patterson wasn’t too far behind — and the Texans grabbed the Notre Dame lineman four rounds later than it took Scruggs. Patterson isn’t a top-tier athlete, and his lack of length shows at times, but he is a skilled player with alert eyes and stubborn hands. His guard-center experience will provide valuable depth at multiple positions.
Good luck finding a QB in any draft as good as mahomes to begin with. You need to be as good as Mahomes to beat Mahomes in the playoffs. Doubtful Stroud's that guy
True but I can't talk about David from the I will let you fill in the blanks so I don't get banned AGAIN.
Just my opinion. You can't win championships with your QB being represented by this POS , so wasting my fandom time by actually caring would be rather dumb of me.
I will say he makes poor choices in the people who are his idols and who he hangs with. My life experience says those people's stench rubs off on you. They aren't separate issues.Good luck finding a QB in any draft as good as mahomes to begin with.
I don’t know how well stroud will play but I’m not going to say he’s good or bad based on his choice of agent.
SteelB for first 20 seasons of Texans football: This team needs to take more chances on guys with perceived character issuesI will say he makes poor choices in the people who are his idols and who he hangs with. Poor decision maker.
If you look at the draft chart, the cost was almost dead on with the price paid, just off a mid-6th rounder.Although I love the Anderson pick, I hate the cost we paid - that's why it isn't an A. I really like the aggressiveness but question if all the wheeling and dealing is really necessary.
But here's the thing... and I'm going to go off on a little rant here, I'm sorry, it's not you, it's me... but...The point of this is to see what players we could get without giving up significant draft capital. I'm amazed that some highly regarded players slipped so far - but some always do. Of course, hindsight is always 20/20.
