Marks can make guys miss, but not like a Westbrook or a Sproles. My comp would be former Texan Duke Johnson. Was never a lead back, but averaged around 800 scrimmage yards per season. Reliable 3rd down RB whose best seasons were in Cleveland.

Say’s me and others who I will not throw under the bus. Look I’ve complained openly about PFF grades using their mock platform. Made it real hard to do realistic mock and not get a D or F grade. But somewhere in between is where I fall. 5th rd. Would be fair, mid 4th (where they drafted him is just ok) but giving up a third is an overpay. We’re going to argue until the sun comes up, been there done that. Only thing that makes this work, is he was drafted for this system to fill a gap on Texan roster.

I don't necessarily think that trading up for Henderson would have been an overpay. Dude's a difference maker. I'm really happy with the Texans draft.

I don’t either, but it is over valued according to trade value chart. Some teams are sticklers on that but not Nick, which is ok if there is conviction. But Chicago was also trying to trade up, one spot and only offering their pick plus a 7th.

Wasnt White a bigger back? I realize Sproles was a short dude and Marks is not that…but Sporles skillset was pass catcher. Ive only seen cutups of Marks to this point. Once i get a better look, maybe my Comp is 100% off. Appreciate your input.

Happy to oblige!! Marks is 5'10", 207, and White is/was 5'9", 204 (according to their combine pages).

Eh. Dobbins is frequently injured. He'd be good for half the season while Marks is warming up

I heard on S&L that Mixon was in a walking boot at OTAs. Last season Mixon was basically unavailable all training camp.

If we see a similar situation, that would make Dobbins this year’s Cam Akers to compete with Pierce for RB2. I am feeling deja vu… Nick is going to sign another RB with two achilles tears then flip him for a 6th round pick!

OTA's don't start until next week, Wednesday.
 
Dobbins was not only born in Houston, he owns a house in the Cypress area and is currently living in that home.

Dobbins is a fomrer 2nd rounder with size and speed, but not directly competing with Marks. He would be Mixon insurance and gobble up a lot of run downs if Mixon goes down or needs a breather.

I think Dobbins, if healthy, is better than Akers…who isn't half bad himself. Dobbins …again when healthy…is good enough to be “the guy”. I could see him wanting to stay close to home, and rehab not only his body but his reputation in league circles. This marraige would make a lot of sense, and its probably a classic NC one year deal… if it happens.

Dobbins played in 13 games last season. The most since his rookie year.

Right, but he still missed games. To say he stayed healthy is incorrect.
