Week 7 GameDay Thread: The Greenbay Packers!

We did not deserve that one .... but I surely wanted it ! Small price to pay if it alerts the office to get serious about improving the OLine !

Defense battled their ass off today short handed after a shaky start.. I can't blame them. Without them this game is a blowout, they shut GB down almost the entire second half waiting for the offense to do something. The offense wears this loss. People on the Oline need to be benched, there needs to be accountability because their effort sucked today.

And Bobby better go back to the lab, because whatever he put together during the offseason isn't working.
 
How many games are we going to give slowik a pass? We say this crap every game, he just flat out sucks. Don’t have high expectations this season. The talk was about Cj regressing but it’s been our Oc who has regressed. This is why you shouldn’t hire your friends to an important role on the coaching staff, having a more experienced/qb friendly oc would have been better

The way I look at it, if the defense can hold the other team under 20 they did their job. If the offense can score more than 20 they did their job.

Of course in this situation the offense wouldn't have scored but 14 were it not for the defensive turnovers. So... yeah.

But in this case I think we'd have won if Demeco would have made them use that last time out on our last third down. & it doesn't make sense that we had no answer for their pass rush all game so I put this loss on the coaches more than anything.

Hate that we lost this game, truly. But it's one game, doesn't mean anything. Most important thing is for them to find a way to use it to get better.

Who is giving Slowik a pass?
 
Demeco too nice good motivator but needs a better oc
Maybe too nice to get rid of Slow
Slow No different than last year, no different from next year
Another wasted year with Slow

Some things are on C.J. Stroud as well and he gets some blame for not making GB use that last TO. That throw to Dell wasn't enough for a first down and would have been out of bounds anyway. There was no point even trying to complete that throw.
 
All those consecutive runs on first down on the last drive didn’t help either. Slowick needs to go.

You’re pointing a finger at the wrong place. As long as the offensive line is stinking up the place, Slowik gets a pass. He just calls plays, he needs the players to execute, and they are not.

And I don’t want to hear any sh!t about Stroud. He is getting no time to throw the ball. He’s running for his life. It all starts up front.
 
Who invited the trolls to the party? Instead of reading good analysis, I read nothing but trolls trolling.

I’m out for the day guys. Gutsy performance by a under-manned D. Oline wasn’t near good enough. Still came very very close to beating a damn good team on the road.

lets get them next week.
 
That play call on our last third and 15 is a damn near fireable offence, and also a big learning moment for CJ. Either you go for the TD/first down, or burn that last timeout. A sack would have been a far better outcome then an incompletion.

They allowed GB to keep a timeout and keep the threat of using the whole field for that last drive.

Either try to kill them off with a TD or if you are pinning it on the D, at least help them out and burn that TO.

Frustrating.

It's like the Jets game last year. Yeah, C.J. had a bad stat line, but he didn't have much of a chance with the protection he was getting
 
Mixon 115 yds 2 tds despite that OL is some effort.

Defence played great considering the injuries, Hewitt took his chance, I thought.

Love looks like the real deal, first time I’ve watched him closely!

100 percent agree. Thats on CJ for making that throw well short of the 1st down marker. Just go down.

I agree with you on the Defense today. They were without five starters and they still ******* balled out and kept us in this game. Really a great performance from the defense today. No complaints on that side of the ball.
 
Only 13 points off Turn overs, correct? If that is 20, which at the very least it should have been, Texans win this game.
I might be wrong but I remeber only 2 FGs and one TD

Last season, almost all of Slowik's passing plays included seven-step QB dropbacks to compensate for an injury-riddled line and to take pressure off the rookie QB. It worked and was brilliant, but for some reason it's unsustainable. You'll notice this season all dropbacks are the conventional four steps, which puts pressure back on the line and allows weaknesses to really get exposed.
 
No one should be complaining about the defense today, they got 3 turnovers and held this high octane offense enough times to get us the win.

Slowik and the OL are hot ******* garbage. We kept trotting the same plays and same bullshit out there all 4 quarters. No adjustments whatsoever. Slowik is ******* trash and should be fired.
 
Man I can’t wait to see this offense with a healthy Mixon and Nico. This loss stings but still a lot to look forward too. But we got to smack Colts next week. Diggs should be stripped of his Captainship. Acting like that before the game, from one of your captains. Disgraceful
