Week 2 Gameday Thread: Bring on 'Da Bears!

Our game against the Colts is the type of game the Texans of the past would have found a way to lose. Rookie QB opponent in prime time is another one of those types of games. However, I have seen enough to where I expect us to win Sunday night. It is appropriate to have higher expectations now, so I expect the Texans to come out and win at home. We aren't perfect just yet, but we are better than Chicago. Looking forward to seeing this team take the next step!
The Texans won a bunch of games last season that they would've historically found a way to lose. IMHO, the head coach and franchise QB is the difference.

Possible thunderstorms in the area this evening. I’m not sure if they must open the roof due to damage, or if the roof can be closed if thunderstorms look likely. No idea. But tif the roof is open, and the heavens open and lightening is around…the game will be delayed. Not good.

One of the biggest advantages is that Caleb Williams took ~4 secs to get ride of the ball in the first game (and still struggled.) Between Hunter and Anderson there's no way he's getting that much time to process.
That's fine, but the d-line has to maintain disciple. Williams can run like the wind, and a QB run might be the Bears most explosive play.

Just read an article that said Williams was getting the ball off too quickly and needs to hold on to it longer to be more successful.

Few hours since you posted, I don't see any sign of rain let alone lightning so perhaps it will be good weather for our game.

Yes, the home field advantage is assumed. I think sports books build in a 3 point advantage for home teams as a base line. I’m sure that can vary based on teams. I’d say the Texans get a bigger edge due to playing a rookie and the Texans fans having a lot of pent up excitement with the home opener in prime time and the expectations for the team this season. I expect it to be loud! Just hope the fans are smart enough to quiet down when the offense is on the field!!
Has there ever been a home game where everyone wore white? I know I’ve never seen it but we often get games blacked here.

We are gonna suck of course, yada yada, sky is falling.... bah humbug insert negative nancy stuff here.....

Now that Ive gotten tradition and routine out of the way...

Oh, crap! Lassiter lost his arm and Pitre both feet. Why didn't someone bring that up before now? I mean we have an injury thread..

I don't know by how much but I sense an upset of our guys tonight. I hope I am wrong. However it would be in line with some of the big upsets today.

I dunno does that mean you think upsets are contagious?
They can be. I have noticed cycles of it in the past. The good news is nobody in our division won today, If we lose that softens the blow a little. I see a lot of parity in the NFL this season.
