Probably not considering they called the timeout with 2 seconds left when they could have let it run out.

I know the odds of having the FG blocked and returned for a TD causing you to miss the playoffs would been astronomical, but look at the game they just played. I hate the Steelers so watching them get eliminated with a tie would have been freaking sweet, but the Chargers dumbass HC doesn't deserve to be in the playoffs. Kick the FG, send his ass home.

That last run got them in FG position. If the Chargers stopped it maybe the Raiders would have tried a longer FG? I have to think there is some motivation not wanting to play the Chiefs next week.

Not sure I follow. I don't know who they would have played had it ended in a tie, but by winning they get the Bengals.

Disagree. Better to not risk needing 2 scores when you can easily make it a 1 score game.

2 point success rate is about 49%. Sure, you need the 2 pointer at some point, but getting the ball back for a shot at a 2nd score, onsides kick success is about 15%.

Rather take my chances with one score and going for 2 at the end than making it where I might need to beat big odds twice.

I dont know how Payton creates the cap space but I bet Jimmy G ends up with fellow Eastern Illinois alum in the Crescent City.
