Week 17 Gameday: Texans at 49ers

Vinny... did Carr get his 8 million today before the game?

Probably not, I think they have till end of Feb / early March to do the extension - entire NFL season and before FA.

Is it possible for us to lead from begining to end? These guys look horrible, yet they beat the Rams.

Agreed, SanFran looks awful. Re: the Rams, must have been one of those "any given Sunday" kind of things.

I'm just glad Morency gets his chance. His performance will hopefully follow him into the offseason, and hopefully he'll be on the team next year too :)

He'll be on the team. He's still under his rookie contrcact. Hopefully today's performance will get him some more carries next season.

I'm sorry I have to read all these posts today......really sad this is what the Texans fan base has been reduced to.

Justice and Lopez would be proud of them, wouldn't they?:)

Both of these teams are just bad. It's amazing how interesting a bad game can be. Still, it's hard to watch at times.

As long as teams match. I just spend/wasted 2½h watching the Falcons getting creamed...

and the shutout continues.. tipped ball with Earl INT.

Now let's friggin drive it down the field.

Even when the teams match it can still be bad. This game looks like a "Comedy of Errors". At least for once the really bad errors are not those of the Texans.

You know what is really funny about this... Saints will more then likely take Lienert and with us taking #2, Bush trade or take would be ours. If we win, I see a huge amount of talk about Bush again... sigh.

Despite the SF "goofs", this definitely looks like the matchup of the worst two teams in Pro Football.

If it ends up a three way tie between Houston, San Fran and NO, doesn't NO get the first pick? San Fran has nothing to play for but pride today, and apparently they aren't that big on pride.

I was joking earlier but only the naive think that these guys don't play to win....they aren't fans...these guys are earning their paychecks.

Today's and next year's in some cases.

just when you think we are going to pull away, now we might yank carr for an injury... now the question is can San fran even score 10 points

SF is already out of the equation for the 1st pick....See the sticky in the NFL Draft forum.

I truly hope Carr isn't hurt bad.

If you need me to do a play - by - play, let me know.. but it will be huge amount of small numbers.

Isn't it scary how much the SF offence looks like the Texans offence. If you changed jerseys you couldn't tell the difference.

Ive heard a lot of talk show hosts say that if NO got the first pick someone will pay dearly for the right to Bush, so NO will trade down and take a QB a little later.

I am from LA and think Bush wil be awesome, but i kinda hope someone else gets him and Houston is forced to take that awesome Tackle D'BRICKASHAW FERGUSON, whom they so desperately need.

Carr + Davis + Ferguson is better than
Carr + Bush + nobody.

I dont think there are any premier OTs in FA.

Lets stick to the game folks...plenty of draft threads. I'll delete all the off topic if it gets bad.

They seem to have the same offensive philosphy, QB takes snap, drops back, throws to RB.

I believe they call that . . not having the time to look downfield? (duh)
