Week 15 - Punched by the Tacks?

Because it’s my opinion that’s why. We moved the ball with freaking ease. And too good of a team. Man please, they’re not that good.

And how did the Ravens get into this? Nobody said we were the Ravens. But on today we could have put a 40 pcs on these jokers.

40 points

And this is why your opinions shouldn't be taken seriously

I don’t care about how hot they were coming into this game. I’m talking about what I saw today. We moved the ball at will against that defense. We turn the ball over twice in the red zone. Which was very uncharacteristic for us.

Turning the ball over twice isn't uncharacteristic though.

Most games they lose they turn it over more than twice.

The margin should have been much greater. Example: 2nd and goal from the 2. You line up with a full backfield and you run. You don't throw the ball into the middle of the defense.
I'll take it though. We pretty much have the title, as the Tacks can't even pray to beat the Ain'ts.
I would not be to quick to write off the Titans against the Saints. Two weeks ago it did not appear Denver should have had a chance to beat us and not only did we lose but the Broncos curb stomped our asses. With that said, if the Saints show up ready to play to their capabilities they should win.

We won despite turning the ball over deep in enemy territory twice. To me that speaks to us being a pretty good football team. By the way the Titans moved the ball on us pretty easily as well. Lighten up. As much as you would like us to be the Ravens this season it just is not happening. Not many teams are in that rarefied air that the Ravens are in. Given that, we still have a pretty good football team.

At this juncture, I'd be perfectly fine with McNair picking Romo as the teams next OC and hand him the offensive reins much in the same vein that landed RC as DC.

OB could finally focus on being the Texans HC and GM exclusively.

Good game pretty happy because we won despite 2 red zone turnovers. That's impressive to not give up against a good defense going in and picking up the win vs a hot team everyone was picking to win.

I would have preferred if we scored on those turnovers and won in a blowout, but that's the NFL for you. Sometimes, I take a win as a win hope they work on things in practice to work on the issues and tighten things up. Its hard for me to expect perfection in a contact sport.

I am harder on the offense because they invested so much in the offense and we lost our pass rush on defense so I have high expectations on that side of the ball. This season its a wash on expecting them to start out hot. They are way too momentum dependent but they look really good when momentum gets going. We need to do something different this off season to get the offense coming out hot quicker. Too much talent. Still when you can win despite screw ups its always a good thing.

The playoffs are right around the corner. We can wrap up the division against another hot opponent next week. I have faith we will do so. Go Texans

Dude gtfoh with that bullcrap. We could've easily been up 28-7 at the half.

Or down 14-0

Fact is both teams were moving the ball with ease and the difference in the game was the Reid/Mercilus int. Also DW4 making a couple of (I said it) stoopid throws.

In the past, BOB has shown a more aggressive adjustment once we get to the playoffs such as opening up the passing game for Osweiller and not running on the first play of the game :). I would expect this year's version of that to be more called run plays for Watson. That's the change needed to get our momentum going. I think we already saw a little of this from yesterday's game and we might see more of it come playoff time. It's our x-factor. I think that we're at our best when BOB's calling that type of game and if Watson's feeling it with that game plan, we really can beat anyone - Baltimore included.

Sooo good guys win, but we are going to talk about the imaginary "what ifs" that should have led to a loss?? I feel bad for some of you. Im happier than a pig in mud!! They tried to roll out that weak attempt at Columbia Blue, thay had Earl the Pearl in their building for festivities. That team was feeling really good about themselves yesterday before kickoff and we went in there and turned into the boogey man! It was awesome! Did ya'll see the Vrabel meltdown post game presser yet? It was sooo good. You can totally see what he learned from OBrien HOW TO TURN INTO AN ASSHOLE WHEN THE TOUGH QUESTIONS START GETTING ASKED!! LOL he and Kuharsky were going at it!

Why Romo? Aren't there other better and more deserving choices for that role?

I like HC's like Vrabel.
Why? You like his porn mustache?
...including Reid's shoulder trying to hang on until the season is over.
But, he is hanging on. I'm starting to love this guy

So what will be the title of the next game day thread? Texans "Buc" Shot? Division Title Tossed Away in Tampa Bay? The criteria are:

1) Must be negative
2) Must end in a question mark

Let the nominations begin!

I like a HC that treats the media like idiots when they ask stupid questions. I like Vrabels firey personality.

Week 15 Bucs va Texans

Cab drivers and crab legs?

Moon over Miami? Wait, different team, different era. But that was a real headline in the Houston Post or Chronicle after an Oilers big win over the Dolphins.

How about Tampa Bay has their way with the Texans? The Bucs don’t give two (aww shucks) about Texans trends?

Touched by Tampa? Creepy but it has a ring to it.
B-slapped by the Bucs?
BOB's genius on display in Tampa Bay? Outsiders would think this is positive. But we all know better.
Watson veers (to the right) vs the Bucaneers?

Josh Gordon has been suspended by the NFL indefinitely for both PEDs AND substance abuse.........again...........now that one really took me by surprise!!!! :hankpalm:

The league needs to Colin Kaepernick this dude for his own sake. He clearly has deeper pyschological issues going on that he can't seem to get past & the pressure of the NFL enviornment doesn't do him any good.

I didn't get that vibe from his last press conference.

Belichick treats media like they're stupid.

This last press conference felt like Vrabel was on the verge of losing it. Especially when he was answering the question about his guy fielding that last punt.

He had to have known someone was going to ask. He even said he knew the question was going to be asked.

I like a coach who would take that question & answer without answering.

There's a bit of a back story to that...the reporter is Paul Kuharsky. He use to be ESPN's Titans beat guy. He's independent now. Was a huge Indy nut huger when Payton was there.

Anyway, he's been on Vrabel's jock about the kicking game all year. Even during TC when Succop was recovering from surgery. Anything kicking game or ST related and he's all over it. This last incident was an accumulation of the year and Vrabel pissed about losing to you guys.

Paul is a bit of a jerk (in my opinion) and even if he's not he comes across as a bit of a douche. I really don't like the guy, but he's right about this and he's a dog with a bone. The handling of the kicking game by the FO and HC has been a joke. Almost as bad as the Mariota experiment.

I can't stand the guy, but he doesn't hesitate to call the team out and ask the hard questions. Something most the media in Nashville won't/doesn't do.

This is my point.

The reporters control the room.

I get what your saying and actually agree with you that in general to many HC let the reporters dictate the PC's.
I've seen Vrabrel shut Paul down and a few others, and even saw him scold the guys once for continually speaking over a female reporter.

Usually Vrabrel seems to control this guy well or just ignore him (I think he generally does ok with the press). I was actually hoping he'd body slam him over this. Evidently, good 'ol Paul was on the radio the next day or two running his mouth about being called an idiot (that's kind of hear say; I was listening to it and a patient came in so I missed it...pesky Marine's getting sick during the season lol). But, I can not stand PK!

I understand. As a fan I'd love to know my coach gets it when we lose an important game. & here, we see Vrabel gets it.

Now, the question is what's he going to do about it. I think he's got what it takes to be a really good coach. The next 8 months are crucial for that to happen.
