The second they showed Cully as HC on the sideline I quit watching. LOL
What a bias, disgusting video...but what else did anyone expect from Lame Stream Media...its pretty obvious that ALL national media outlets HATE ALL HOUSTON TEAMS...hell we even got one in the houston media...john pancakes anyone??
That was an all out knob slob of the colts. Really hope our boys show up and play out and shut all these damn critics up.
The Colts have lost 10 week 1 games in a row. You might be 100 correct on this one for sure.Maybe I’m crazy but I think we win this.

It was some years ago, but do you remember that opening day game against Indy where Arian Foster first showed his real stuff? It was the start of his 2nd year with the Texans I believe. Maybe Damien Pierce will repeat that.
Or, we could just get our asses kicked as usual. LOL
Anyway Tyler Johnson & Oj Howard make an impact week 1?

That's going to be interesting to watch.
With the new 3 game pre-season, don't they have a few more days to prepare these new guys than they would have had in previous years? They might be able to get them up to speed.
you were? but not any longer? Were gunna F%%^$^ them UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh wait... I know this song....you were? but not any longer?
DoubtfulAnyway Tyler Johnson & Oj Howard make an impact week 1?

Thinking about taking the 8.5. The Colts will want to control the game with Taylor. And I don't think they want to expose Ryan to the pass rush for 40+ attempts. The Texans will want to play with their new toy (Pierce) as much as possible. I see a ton of rushing and a game under 3 hours. 23-16 Colts.Colts open as 8.5 favorite

Found the youtube highlights from that Indy game.

I'm concerned about run D, up the middle especially.Thinking about taking the 8.5. The Colts will want to control the game with Taylor. The Colts have a terrible track record in opening weeks. What are they? 2-10 in their last 12 IIRC. That combined with a new coach, new and better players and a generally positive vibe with the team leads me to believe we've got more than a puncher's chance. If I were a betting man, I'm taking the Texans and the points.
I do agree that the key is Taylor. I do think the D is improved, but much of that improvement is in the pass game. How often can we force teams to play catch-up with this lame offense led by a statue and very few dynamic elements. The key is to somehow get Mills and the guys to get a 2 score lead and take Taylor out of the game, and make Ryan beat you over the top. Ok...don't laugh!
Both have gone through an NFL training camp and should be in shape for week 1. Question is can they learn the playbook well enough? I suspect they’ll both be active and be part of the gameplan in some capacity.
Will Tyler Johnson come up big on a crucial 3rd down?
Will Howard catch a td in the redzone and/or make crucial blocks to spring the RB for extra yards?
I think they’ll both have the opportunity.
I believe Mills ran a sub 4.6 forty...so he's not a statue...he's got some wheels...but Im hoping the Oline can provide him some time and room...and if he needs to slip the pocket he's got a lane or 2 to choose from
That's bootleg range. Heck, Schaub's recorded 40 is 5.04. Mills might be TOO fast.I believe Mills ran a sub 4.6 forty...so he's not a statue...he's got some wheels...but Im hoping the Oline can provide him some time and room...and if he needs to slip the pocket he's got a lane or 2 to choose from

For some reason I get the feeling we're looking at two different dudesI rarely see Mills under center so it’s a moot point. That was Kubes offense. No signs that Pep is bringing it back. That said, Mills is such a stiff and awkward looking athlete, the Tin Man is probably more able to roll out and deliver on the run.

Mills doesn't display that during games. His sack rate is poor, 7.3%. Mills has shown no ability to create yardage while rushing. It's less about athleticism and more about instincts. This is Mills #1 issue. The inability to turn negative situations into positive plays and keep the offense on the field.I believe Mills ran a sub 4.6 forty...so he's not a statue...he's got some wheels...
You need to go back and watch the Chargers game. Also he throws very well when he escapes the pocket to his right. What he doesn't do is take off running when he escapes the pocket. He keeps his eyes down field looking to make plays.Being relatively straight-line fast and being a dynamic athlete are not one in the same. And some of that is mental as well. Understanding and feeling the rush, understanding escape routes. Keeping your head downfield and finding long gains. All of that is mental.
Bottom line, this QB is stiffer then my ironing board. He's not a playmaker in any sense of the word. He has no dynamic traits to his game at all. None. Zero. Sure, if the play goes as designed, the line gives him time, etc...he can deliver the ball in the short to intermediate range. If the play breaks down, you might as well throw the ball to Lovie. He's not making any plays. And his deep throws have nearly all been underthrown - some by a lot. For once - just lead the damn receiver. How about that for a change?
If you think this dude is all that and a bag of chips, you're going to be sorely disappointed. The best we can hope for is a mid-level game manager, and if the team around him is premium...maybe just maybe he gets the job done. That means everything else has to be nearly perfect. He can be on a winning team, but he isn't leading you anywhere other than Dairy Queen for an ice cream after the game.
I'd put the odds at 75% that they will be in the QB market in 2023.
I'm very happy to have the style of QB that the Texans have. That style tends to win championships. See: Stafford.Mills doesn't display that during games. His sack rate is poor, 7.3%. It was 7.5 last week. Wonder where the extra point came from?Colts open as 8.5 favorite
I think 8.5 is a lot given the Colts record in openers. Like lots of folks have mentioned it’s gonna be a running game. Might even bet the under here.Thinking about taking the 8.5. I think the O/U on wins is 4.5. I’d place some shackles on the over. Have a feeling these guys get 6 wins, maybe 7 with a lucky break.I never gamble, but Vegas odds are so stupid against the Texans that I'm making a one-time exception and placing some bets on the season.
For some reason I get the feeling we're looking at two different dudes
If you’re saying he’s not Michael Vick, we agree. If you’re saying he’s Tom Brady… sorry, I’m just not seeing it.Indeed. show me any dynamic plays where he is the playmaker.

Expectations are high for #1 picksWhat? True. Stafford won a championship with the Rams. However, when he was in Detroit, the knock on him was that he couldn't win a playoff game far less a Super Bowl. His style didn't change going from the Lions to the Rams. The team and organization around him changed. It's funny that now he won a championship "his style wins championships".
For the record. I like Stafford. However, it's another example of no QB can win championships on their own and they get too much blame and/or too much credit for their team's success.
