What move….no one is trading for him. All Haslam and the Browns can do is cut him…that’s their only move. Spend 2 to 3 seasons licking their wounds for such an idiotic extension. It’ll be an ugly rebuild, but they really have no choice.
If I could borrow Haslam’s coned owners hat for a moment:
1. Cut Watson at seasons end or after June 1st. He should be good for keeping the Browns in the top 3 come draft day this season.
2. Spend the next couple of seasons sucking and loading the trenches with top talent.
3. 2026 or 2027, ensure the team is at the top of the board and draft QB, Manning (Texas).
Browns fans could probably forgive Haslam for the Watson signing.
