he blew it. almost feel bad for him.
at least mike williams went 4.55.
why? just be weary of the big slow lazy ones.4.55 still didn't help him in Det. I'm offically leary of USC Wideouts now.
so how did steve smith do?

if only one team timed him a 4.58 then....well....that doesn't mean much to me. im expecting jarrett to go 2nd round, possibly lower. steve smith will go ahead of him.
although, now that i think about, any franchise stupid enough to take vince young, lendale white and pacman jones in a 2-year span is probably dumb enough to invest in someone like jarrett, too.

Dwayne Jarrett WR Jarrett (6-4, 214) ran his 40s in 4.67 and 4.62 seconds, the short shuttle in 4.20 and the three-cone drill in 7.28. He also had a 36½-inch vertical jump and a 10-foot-1 broad jump.

4.62 only makes you a possession receiver in the NFL, that's not fast enough to seperate from most corners in this league or be considered a WR who could potentially "stretch" the field. For example, we need a faster guy than
that to really take the heat off of AJ.

take him out of your first round mocks now.
Jerry Rice reportedly ran something in the 4.6s, but that was like a 1984Not always true what about Jerry Rice? Althougth I agree that that is the exception rather than the rule![]()
Jerry Rice reportedly ran something in the 4.6s, but that was like a 1984
4.6 when he probably was timed on some old cinder track with cinders spitting 2 or 3 feet above his head as he ran down the surface. If you've
ever run on a cinder track you know what I'm talking about. Very primative, and very slow compared to these special surface, very fast tracks of today. And I would imagine the shoes with those long danger spikes they used for cinder based surfaces were nothing like todays Nikes.
Wonder what kind of a 40 a Jerry Rice in his prime running on one of these greyhound surfaces like Indy would turn in today ?

compare it to Doug Free, who ran a 7.48. jarrett is closer to a left tackle than a wide receiver in terms of agility. His 7 cone drill time kills him if anything. That drill is usually used to show that you at least have good short acceleration and can make good cuts, but 7.28 is horrible, especially for a WR. All of his times are slow and very dissapointing.

Like future HOF WR Cris Carter, all Jarrett does is score TDs.so, he's not fast, he's not agile, he can't get off the line, rounds off all of his routes...he's got good hands, and nothing else. he's also lazy and has no work ethic.

he's dumb, can't pass the football, makes bad decisions....i can go on.
Just curious, what did Keyshawn Johnson run?
