I think Hall at 42 might be a little early for him, but we all know NC doesn’t abide by consensus big boards.

Consensus boards are fundamentally illogical.
That's why watching people say "they didn't have to take so and so there they could have waited until round X to take him" always makes me roll my eyes because that's the type of thinking that makes you lose out on a player because if you're the other 31 teams that thought that, well...you just missed out on the player and he wasn't available in round X.
No way at 42. Waaaay too much injury history.

He's 4 years out from his ACL injury and his shoulder injury requiring surgery was in Sept 2021. He played outstandingly in 2023 with no problems. And we drafted Sting in the 1st. Don't know if it makes a difference physically, but I'd be drafting him to play the big Nickle rather than LB. Harris and Al-Shaair are LBs #1 and #2.

That's a position where injuries can stack up and you're never really out of the woods.
I think them drafting Stingley is exactly why they might change their draft philosophy a bit as we saw how having so many injury prone players can make roster building and going through a season an absolute nightmare. Once bitten, twice shy and all that.
Hasn't been hurt in two years.

And I'm genuinely asking because I'm not sure of the exact history.
I just always dislike when injury histories come up and people say someone hasn't been injured because they played all the games when in actuality they played half a season with a major injury and then had offseason surgery.

Yes and no. He had his shoulder injury in Sept 2021 and had surgery. He came back in 2022 and appears to have started the season slow with limited snap count through week 4. Week 5 against Clemson his snap count was up. He seems to have missed week 12 but was back week 13 with 89 snaps.

Makes sense considering how they use the process.
Nick often talks about wanting to clear up or confirm character concerns. He also often talks about how he looks for consistency. They constantly check to see if someone is putting on an act or if they're genuinely the same person as they interact through multiple people and through multiple visits.
Whether that's good or bad for Sweat in these meetings we may never know.

What I noticed on the updated visit list is that the Texans have met with Payton Wilson three times. The most recent, just a week or so ago, was a T30. My understanding of a T30 is that this gives a team the chance to have their own medical team examine a player more in depth than other visits. Everyone knows that Wilson's medical history is his big negative. To have the Texans visit with Wilson just a week, or so, before the draft, shows they are definitely interested. Doean't mean they'll take him, of course.

Well yeah...
I would assume (could be wrong) at some point he was at least a consideration if they took the time to talk to him again after they had talked to him once. Doing their due diligence.
