there is no way a WR rates as a top 10 prospect this year.

huff is a toss up between the other two, but i like him at the top

vince, right now, is not a top 10 NFL prospect. He will be next year, but not quite yet.

Ryans will not grade out as the #2 LB. Yes, he has speed and smarts, but he is not the beast that other LB's are in this years class. I still like him as a pro prospect.

Where is this list from anyways?

cough *Mathias Kiwanuka* cough

I was waiting for someone to chime in with Kiwi.

Note: This is a personal top 10 prospect list.

I think Mathias will go 11-20. He is pushed out by a slew of franchise players this year.

Top 10 DE's form the last 5 years.

10 Baltimore Terrell Suggs OLB Arizona State
11 11 Dallas Ware, Demarcus DE 6-4 247 Troy State (ill give you 11)
2 Carolina Julius Peppers DE North Carolina
11 Indianapolis Dwight Freeney DE Syracuse (ill give you 11 again.)
4 Cincinnati Justin Smith DE Missouri
6 New England Richard Seymour DE Georgia
7 San Francisco Andre Carter DE California
10 Green Bay Jamal Reynolds DE Florida State

very few DE's go top 10.

Will Smith was picked #18 overall, and had a better NCAA career than MK.

Again this is JMHO.

In a weak crop of Wr's, this one shines, and will go to the first team needing a WR.

Philadelphia will have a top 10 pick.

Very few DEs are 6'7 and run 4.65 as well.

Arizona, Baltimore, Detroit, Tennessee, New Orleans are all possibly looking for quarterbacks. I dont know how many of these teams are drafting 1-10 but if Vince comes out, there is no way he passes by all these teams without getting snatched.

the original post wasnt a draft order, it was a personal opinion on his top 10 pro prospects. If all teams were to draft by biggest need and take 4 qb's in the top 10, it would look like, in this order assuming all juniors declared: lienhart, quinn, cutler, young, jacobs

him going in the top top and being a top ten prospect are two different things. If those teams weren't looking for a qb who knows where he goes. i think he needs to go back and work on his motion, he could be a lot better qb with a better delivery. In the big 12 champ game i only saw him throw one really good pass and that was the td pass to thomas were he put it on the pylon and only his guy could get it. the rest of his passes were a little off target or were just lobs to a wr that is six inches taller than the db. the side arm action takes away from his accuracy and power plus can be deflected easily.

how about courtney brown on your list of defensive ends?

Try doing that exercise for safeties.

11. Mathias Kiwanuka

How is that responsive?

The answer is

Sean Taylor #5
Roy Williams #8

Using the same logic, Huff shouldn't be in the top 10. I like Huff as a player, but he hasn't received near the hype of Taylor or Williams. Plus there is the salary consideration for safeties. I just don't see him being taken in the top 10. No biggie though.

It was more of a joke.

You are right. Not alot of S go high either. I just view Huff, and Williams as freaks at their position. While Kiwi is a good player, I would like to see him bulk up before I feel like he could go against a nfl tackle, and win.

I would put Kiwi in the top 12 though. Along with Jimmy Williams.

You knock Kiwanuka's size, but have Mario Williams up there. There is probably a 5-7 lb difference between the two. Kiwi only looks "smaller" because his arms are very long. I don't know how much stronger Kiwi has to be, he ROUTINELY throws tackles around in every game he plays(which he is healthy in...).

Nice Ndraft. I am not sure on how you figured some of the guys and their order, but it is your personal opinion and I am not going to say it is wrong. Likely differs from some people, but the top 5 is likely pretty close. Not sure Demeco Ryans, Holmes, and Huff will grade out to be Top 10 guys.

Kiwi is anywhere from 30-40 lbs smaller than Mario.

No. He's not. Anything you see listed publically is very, very inaccurate. I've been told he's anywhere from 276 to 279 now. If Mario is up to 316, then I will be the first to be impressed.

What am I to go by besides what his own school, and other draft sites use as his weight?

I dont have people who tell me what a players weight is around. I go by what the school says. And even then, most embellish that.

MK - 6-7 / 262
MW - 6-7 / 290

Shrug, I'm just going by what the guy who plays right next to him tells me. We'll find out at the combine, if he decides to keep it on.

Mario Williams is 6'6"1/4 and 278
Mathias K. is 6'5"3/4 and 265

I get these weights and heights from Gil Brandt's Inside Draft Notes.

I think Kiwi is a monster player, but couldn't his health issues keep him out of the top 10?

Health issues??? Like the knee injury on the cheapshot?? Yea, I think from his 5 sack performance against Mario Williams and NC St proved that isnt an issue.

1. Reggie Bush
2. Matt Leinart
3. D'Brickashaw Ferguson
4. A.J. Hawk
5. Mario Williams
6. Jimmy Williams
7. Mathias Kiwanuka
8. Jason Allen
9. Haloti Ngata
10. Eric Winston

Vince Stays in school & will be the #1 pick in the 2007 NFL Draft!

Much better list.

Allen is the only name I would take out. Sub DeAngelo in.

good list but allen is out with that hip injury and i don't think a guy that missed half the year with a serious injury is a top ten prospect at this time.

point well taken! however if not injured would have been the top CB available in the draft, the top CB's usually go around the 8th pick so along with a fast recovery I fully expect him to return close enough to form by the combines that his stock will not be too damaged. he is the type of corner who plays tight coverage with little cushion, physical, strong and can bring it!

new ideal!! After trading down, once or twice, to around the 8th pick, we take our LT. We then have at least 2 2nd round picks. Jason allen and whichever LB falls: Ryans, Brooks, Hodge, guy from UTEP.
In the third we pick up dumervile and a G.
in the fourth we pick up slay

Rounds 1-4

1st overall: traded to whoever picks third, they look to hope the #2 team for bush. In the process we pick up #3 overall, a second this year and next year

3rd overall: We trade to whoever is picking 8 (baltimore, miami?) so they can take leinhart. In this trade we aquire the #8 overall, a second this year, and a first next year.

8th overall: Eric Winston, LT

33 overall: top LB left: brooks, ryans, carpenter, hodge...

35 overall: jason allen, cb

40 overall: dumervile, de/lb

3rd round, 1st pick: Orin Haris, DT

3rd round, NO pick: Rocky Mcintosh, LB

4th round, 1st pick: Dwayne slay

5th round, 1st pick: Tauiti Luiti, OG

6th round: doesnt matter, wont make the new team

7th round: doesnt matter, wont make the new team
