THE NFL DRAFT said:Transition tag him. See what other teams offer for him. I doubt they will offer more than it would cost us to kick in his options. With the 8 mill bonus and all.
And if another team offers more than we want to pay, we get compensation for him.
Best idea to date.
Tejaspro said:I don't believe that Carr is the problem. No quarterback can succeed either on his back or running for his life. The coaching staff needs to be replaced, and possibly the GM. An offensive line that can protect the quarterback should be the priority next season. Any quarterback playing behind our line is not going to succeed. Carr is a classic drop back 5 to 7 step quarterback. The fact that he can run is an added feature. Protect him, and he will hit his receivers.
I put the fault of that on coaching.touttail said:I thought the same thing and deffended Carr, but I was WRONG! The last couple of games Carr has had time to thorw the ball downfield. He locks in on his primary reciever and never looks off at number two. At least 4 times during the KC game he threw the ball on the ground in front of his recievers.
Carr advertises bigtime exactly where he is going to thow the ball!

Who do you think is going to give a 1st round pick for him? Just curious. Shop him but keep under consideration that no QB is going to do any better under the circumstances.run-david-run said:Definately transition tag him... I think that as compensation we would get a 1st round pick, seeing as that is where we drafted him?
Tejaspro said:You are right about more time to throw the last couple of games. However, if you are used to getting slapped upside the head every three seconds, you might have a hard time being relaxed enough to scan the field. Unfortunately, it's going to take more than a couple of games for him to not flinch around two and half seconds. He needs enough success at going towards five seconds before getting hammered for awhile... then he wll forget about it. But, he's been flattened constantly since he's been here. But, he's courageous and tough.

Honoring Earl 34 said:I think thats one of my biggest problems with Carr ... he's made of teflon (except when it comes to sacks ) nothing sticks to him . Its either the OL , bad coaching , bad WRs , no TE , no running game , Carr has not helped the situation .
