I heard a QB (can't remember which) say that came from have a little push with his palm.
Manning has always thrown one of the uglier wobblier balls around.
The wobble is something Manning's talked about before a year or several ago, something to the effect of 'the most catchable pass has 3 wobbles'.
Wade is 2-0.
I really wanted to keep an eye on the Broncos this year because I thought they'd be the most interesting team. My bias towards Kubiak and Wade being at the forefront. However, the dynamic between Kubiak and Manning. Wade inheriting a near ideal defense. Playing in a strong division as well as a #1 schedule. I wanted to see how so many story lines played out. I didn't imagine it would actually be this chaotic.
By the way, congrats to Peyton - 70,000 yards.
Started the Broncos defense in my money league. Feeling real good about how that game ended.
I think not having 100% feeling in his hand might be contributing to ugly balls too. IIRC, it's the reason why he wears the glove now. Maybe the reason for the push with the palm thing? I don't know.I heard a QB (can't remember which) say that came from have a little push with his palm.

Wade's defense is so money in year one.
If Peyton isn't buying in to what the Broncos is doing, he's out of his mind. Unless he's a megalomaniac... that's two games where he was a part of a team that won the game & not Peyton Manning.
It's got to be a relief to not have the entire fate of a franchise on his shoulders.
I remember that play off game they lost because the defense couldn't hold a lead.
I'd like to see the qualifiers as Yds/2 players on your back. Yds with 3 Players on your back, Yds with 4 players on you back and Yds with 5 or more players on your back. Who do you think leads those categories?Depends on qualifiers. But he's right there.

Some people need to watch this mornings edition of 1st take to get a national take on Elway/Manning/Kubiak.

As did I.
I'm not quite old enough to remember Brown as a player, but I did see Campbell from high school on and he was always carrying multiple players down the field if he wasn't pounding them into submission.I'll roll with this. Brown or Campbell. Who you got?
I was watching NFLN last night before the game. Those guys there weren't in favor of what's going on, or at least what they perceive is going on. I think they're short sighted. Peyton Manning will most likely not win another Super Bowl if he keeps doing what he's been doing.
Gary Kubiak with a QB like Peyton Manning is more likely to.

You really believe this after watching last nights game. They would've lost that game if Peyton hadn't gone to the shotgun late in the 4th.
I've got a feeling the Broncos and SB talk is an after thought. You need to watch 1st take.
Gary Kubiak isn't keeping Peyton Manning out of the shotgun. Just because they went to the Shotgun doesn't mean Kubiak wasn't still "pulling the strings." & Peyton's lost quite a few games before Kubiak ever took that job.
Another thing. The final four teams last year, the teams in the conference championship games, were 3-5 after two games. Tom Brady was done.
Anyone not expecting growing pains in Denver is delusional. Let's see what it looks like in January.

Manning was predominately shotgun long before the 4th.
Use of the gun doesn't mean Manning is back to running things.
Maybe a little refresher course for you would be when Kubiak put Schaub back in games for Keenum - almost all shotgun.
Exactly. What new HC is expected to have their system fully integrated, all the kinks, etc. worked out by game #1?
Did you watch 1st take. They share my opinion of this situation.

First Take is possibly the best example I can think of to demonstrate the H.L. Mencken quote which stated "No one ever went broke underestimating the taste of the American Public. I kind of view it as ESPN taking advantage of the mentally weak for profit.
Co-sign.I wouldn't watch Skip Bayless if you paid me. LOL that you bring them up as some sort of authority...
Ouch....That's like citing norg.
So Gary Kubiak and Wade Phillips had a game plan that beat the Kansas Chiefs, on the road no less, while we couldn't beat them at our house last Sunday? But Kubiak and Phillips weren't good enough to coach here anymore. Hmm... Or was Andy Reid just out-coached in this 7-point loss as oppose to him out-coaching Bill O'Brien in his 7-point win back in Week 1?
That is why I don't buy all of this "they were out coached" stuff. It's all about making plays. The Broncos made a few more big plays than the Chiefs did last night, including that fumble returned for a Touchdown late in the game. Just like the Chiefs made a few more plays than the Texans during their 27-20 win last Sunday.
Coaching is all nice and dandy but it still comes down to making plays. You can win with Gary Kubiak and Wade Phillips. They were never that bad here to be honest. We had that one awful 2-14 season because our quarterback play **** the bed and we could never recover. Once we lost that Seattle Seahawks game in overtime, a game we had a comfortable lead in, it all went downhill after that.

Speaking of the Chiefs, how about those two fumbles by Jamaal Charles last night? One was inside the red zone and likely cost the Chiefs 3 points at minimum. The other one was the big fumble returned for a Touchdown to lose the game late. He still had nice rushing numbers but is he really better than a healthy Arian Foster? I have this debate with my Longhorn friend all the time. He just loves Jamaal Charles. I didn't think he had that good of a game against us Week 1. A couple big gains is all.
At the risk of sounding too homerific, there's not a back in the game I'd take over a healthy Arian Foster.
On the ground, through the air, pass protect, protect the ball, move the chains, big gains.
That healthy part's a doozy though.
Agreed. I bad-mouth him more than I should, but I'd take a healthy Foster over anyone else in the league. Charles is talented and insanely quick, but he doesn't have the strength of Foster and no one has Foster's vision.
Ok. That wasn't remotely the discussion.
