These next 4 games could continue or end our season

Chris

The Texans next 4 games could likely define the season. I think imo, could end up being 2-2 they beat Jacksonville and Miami and lose to the Chiefs (after yesterday's performance against the Raiders, they could get beaten) and the Ravens on Christmas. So I want to know, what do you think the Texans record will be these next 4 games?

1-3 or 3-1….their only win could be the Jags or their only loss could be the Ravens. The sad part, the talent is there to finish 5-0 if everyone starts performing.

I’m expecting the worse. They lost to the jets and titans. Tunsil leads the league in penalties with 15. Scruggs has 5 and our other line men has 3-4. refs are foaming at the mouth with our game against the chiefs

Interesting but slightly confusing why you're looking at only the next four games. The final game against Tennessee will not impact us? Seems like we could lose against Baltimore and KC and still have a decent record. Again, my focus is on seeing significant Improvement each game beginning with the Jags and ramping into the playoffs.

The Texans will have to fall apart and another team (Colts) will have to play near perfect for the Texans to not win the division and make the playoffs. The question for us will they do something besides get their ass beaten in the first round.
Well that's what I think is going to happen.

Texans won't win another game in this season. They're going to be good, entertaining games. All the way up to the final possession, then we'll think the whole game suk'd & blame everyone.

Meh, win, lose the season is done regardless.

There is time they pull their heads out of their backsides and get it done.... absolutely. The problem is I have seen little to no evidence they are capable of doing so.

They will have close games, but the only realistic outcomes:

Win AFCS barely survive WC weekend get kicked the following weekend.

Win AFCS and get kicked wildcard weekend.

Just miss AFCS barely survive WC weekend to get embarrassed the following week.

Just miss AFCS title make it as wildcard and get kicked.

Just miss AFCS title, season over.

***Cliffnotes .. this team ain't doing anything of real value if they see playoffs.

Prove me wrong Texans. Id happily eat crow.

Simple for the Texans…..blowout the Jags and maybe there’s a chance for a turnaround. Play a nail biter or lose and this season is done. A “W” just doesn’t mean shite in the long run. It’s now or never for the Texans to step up and deliver.

If you're thinking in terms of playoffs the Texans season is already over with. We're just waiting to see next year's draft position which will be in the 20's somewhere. If you're just watching the Texans to watch them, there's still plenty of football left.

The sad part, both the Chiefs and Ravens are 100% beatable by this “current” team as constructed. It’s going to be up to Ryans, Slowick, and Strausser to come up with a game plan that gets this team going and maintains any early momentum. Both Ryans and Slowick are horribly guilty of letting up with a lead and adjusting their game to playing not to lose. They’ve done it the entire season.

Right now we have the 23rd draft pick. Hey we could catch fire 🔥 at the right time and make a serious run. Doubt it but we’ve seen it happen before so, “ shrug 🤷‍♂️ shoulders “.

I don't see the Texans beating anyone worth a damn the rest of the way out. When they start winning games that matter it will be time to start getting excited. Until then why get all worked up just to see them play down to the dogs and put it all together randomly a few times a year?
What do you think about Miami? Their W-L ain't all that, but I'd say they're "worth a damn." & I'd like for the Texans to get that win, no matter how ugly they do it.

They really need to be in "playoff" mode from here on out.

Miami imo is the worst matchup for us. Speed all over the place. Tyreke Hill is gonna be a nightmare to cover just by himself let alone with Waddle on the other side. overcommitting to either of those guys will likely leave room for Achane to go nuts.

If Tua gets ANY time to sit back there…

Yep… Miami worries me the most out of all our upcoming games. I mean nobody gets the ball out faster than Tua Tagovailoa. It’s not even close!

Aziz will probably Goldy Locks him.

No worry.

Magic number is 2, meaning any combo of Texans wins and Colts losses equaling 2, clinches the division. Texans beat Miami and Denver beats Indy on the 15th, division is clinched.
If Miami beats Houston and Colts beat Denver..

Well that AAR ain't gonna be pretty.

Everyone would like to see that and they're certainly capable of doing it. The problem with the Texans right now is that they're capable of nearly beating dominant teams but not able to keep their collective manure together for four quarters and do it. They're also dead-set seemingly on keeping bad teams in games with them. Until they get their minds right they're not going anywhere. Send Tunsil to someone else for whatever you can get for him, bring in an OC and staff that are proven and things will get better "or" keep watching these guys learn on the job. Maybe they'll learn before they lose Mixon to wear and tear or Nico/CJ to freak injury or frustration. Seems a shame to be waiting on all of that when the "triplets" Texans fans have been dreaming of are on the roster and just waiting to be coached up.

If you clinch the division the week after the bye do you start sitting players more in some games? Like sit Stingley in the 4th quarter.

Might as well sit Stroud, Nico and Mixon in the 2nd half cause we have a problem scoring. I say that half joking but kinda serious too…I mean once they score in the second half why not sit them?

You aren’t catching the Bills or Chiefs. You may catch the Steelers but do you really want to have to play the Ravens in the first round?

BMore has us, the Giants the Steelers, and the Browns left on its schedule. They COULD go 2-2. More than likely they go 3-1
The Chargers are in the 5 spot right now and they have Chiefs, Bucs, Broncos, Pats and Raiders. I see at LEAST 3-2 there.
And don't sleep on the Broncos, they could sneak into the 5 spot as well sitting at 8-5 right now.

Considering they'll probably sit everyone for the Titans game, unless Hannah says go beat ***** ass Amy, they probably play everyone until then. Maybe they sit guys in the 4th quarters of those games or something, but I keep playing. Especially when they look like a team that could use the practice.

True.

Maybe they sit the players in the first half since they need more practice in the second half? Scoring and stopping teams.

1-3

3 games in the next 10 days is a garbage job by the NFL. Player safety my arse! All about the $$$

I don’t see them winning 3 of the next 4 maybe 2. Ball bounces correctly we win 3 of them.

I think they come off this bye fired up and start playing much better football. :texflag:

If there was ever time to make a run, it's now.
I hope this is true. The realistic Texans fan inside of me tells me that if we do happen to win, it will be the other team beating themselves and we will have little to do with it.

It's crazy how they suck at all the things they were good at last year, like discipline and situational football. Might as well give Coach Ryans the rest of the year off and let Bill O'Blockhead finish out the year.
