The Official Half Assed Jackuars @ Texans Clinch the Division Gameday Thread

Nice to win the div. The Brown injury is really going to kill our chances with whoever we
face next though.

Still nice to be the skinniest girl at a fat girl contest though..

Who would have seen this when the season started 2-5, and the team was usually down 2 scores before the first half was over? I didn't see it at the time but that Monday night win over the Bengals, with stifling defense, set the tone for the rest of the season, the debacle against NE notwithstanding.

Brian Cushing completes a full 16 game season...good to see that for him. First time since 2011.

O'Brien said #Texans have momentum heading into playoffs. Joked he didn't want to be in a funeral "casket" after 2-5 start.

I'd like to see KC here again...I think the team would be able to move the ball better offensively against them as opposed to Denver....

We'll just have to agree to disagree.

He's in his second season and is already better than anything we've got right now.. I'll gladly agree to disagree. His offensive line is horrible and he's a young QB that was facing a elite defense..that doesn't mean he sucks, he had a good season and he's only going to get better.. hell he can already do something our QBs can't do.. make it through a entire season.

You gotta hope for KC but our D does not match up well with their O.

Yeah, I guess for me I just think we don't match up particularly well with either of them....we know Sade's gonna blitz like hell & I really don't want to watch Hoyer get blitzed into oblivion by wade until he makes his inevitable mistake(s).

Well gee yeah if being healthy while taking sacks and racking up garbage time stats is the measuring stick why did we ever get rid of Carr?
In case you haven't noticed, our OL is not great either. Our crappy QBs just happen to make quicker reads and get rid of the ball faster.
By all means though, keep on the Bortles will be elite train.

lol with our luck Peyton Manning rekindles his magic right before a playoff game with the Texans.

He is. Fitz is better than Hoyer. Not a doubt in my mind. Jets won ten games with him to his year. The Texans won 9 but Hoyer wasn't even in there for over half of those. Both aren't good enough but Hoyer is absolute garbage.
Not going to question this directly, but the Texans won 9 games with a combination of Hoyer, Mallett, Yates and Weeden. Given that, can we clearly say that Fitz is better? Not sure. That said, Fitz didn't have the Texans defense in the second half of the season.

¿Has it been determined whom we face ín 1st round? Nótice I solved it. It was thé browser.

Both guys have suffered from consistency issues throughout their careers & neither had led their teams to the playoffs until Hoyer today. As for Fitz you saw what he really is today.....when the jets absolutely had to have it, He **** the bed in a major way by having his worst game of the season....same as Hoyer is prone to do when the stage gets too big for him. Sure Fitz might do a few things an Insy tinsy better than Hoyer, but it's pretty much negligible..his overall game is still about the same as Hoyer's.

You're essentially saying Fitz is better b/c he's been more healthy throughout his career. And ok...as Charlie palillo always says attendance is part of the grade, but I wasn't the least bit surprised by fitz's performance today...that's who he's been more or less throughout his entire career.

Right, but he did have a defense that was pretty much on par with ours, and better overall offensive weapons than we have...

I was part of the few that were happy when we took Mercilus, I didn't expect him to take this long to develop though. Also the pick I've been the happiest about in recent draft memory played pretty well today (Strong)

In this offense, Hoyer is better than Fitz. Not a doubt in my mind. But honestly, not really something worth arguing over.
