Regardless of playcalling or anything else, nothing is going to change until they get a QB. They haven't had one worth a **** going on a decade now. You can't compete in the offense-oriented Big 12 without one. Hell, today you can't compete in Division I football period without one.
It boggles my mind how a school like Texas given all of their resources and the talent in this state, doesn't have a blue-chip signal caller playing every year, while also having a highly touted recruit waiting in the wings to replace him.
UofH has even knocked UTs dick in the dirt when it comes to QB talent over the last decade and they were viewed not good enough to join the conference..and that's not even mentioning the other schools like T.T. and Baylor in conference. All of those school's have worked circles around the supposed state gem university in the QB department. This is and has been Texas' biggest problem.
Ehlinger is NOT a good QB.. he holds on to the ball way too long, isn't accurate at all, his release takes too long, and he's a HORRIBLE decision maker. He's a physical runner, but that's the only positive thing he has going for him.
