We have a Winnah! It's a preseason game and I predict that by halftime I won't give a damn about the score anymore. I hope the team looks good from the 1's on down and that's about it. The score is truly meaningless here.
Mallett does his best Brady impersonation and dinks and dunks Wade's defense to death. JJ and Vince have a Peyton sandwich and the arm finally falls all the way off.
46-10
Broncos 30
Texans 13
Elway was upset last year seeing the Texans outwork his Broncos in joint practices, Wade will blitz over and over as that's his scheme and he needs to prep his guys, and I believe there's a revenge factor in behalf of Kubiak if not by him.
I think our A-gaps will get a workout and Mal will be on the run. It'll be ugly.![]()
I don't understand all the hatred. The man did his best. Wasn't good enough. We moved on... well, some of us moved on.
There was a Denver reporter on a radio recently that said Manning has slimmed up a bit. I'm not sure what that means, but thought I'd pass it along. I'm fairly sure Wilfork could still hang with him running a 40Kubiak says Manning" will play quite a bit." Manning will supposedly be running Kubiak's bootleg plays.........I've got to see this.......especially when 3 of his four new offensive linemen have never played in an NFL regular-season game.............[=Peyton]![]()
If, in part, you are referring to my "stubborness" to adjust comment, this is not "hate," it is a simple statement of observable fact. I have always thought that Kubiak (like Wade and Schaub) gave us all he had......but his failure to be willing to make significant adjustments when needed used to drive me crazy.
Could be a long day for the defense if Wilfork takes a rest early or completely. The Broncos 3 RBs had 101 yds and 6.3 ypc in the 1st half last week.
Do I remember wrong, or is Watt not going to play in this game. If that is the case, he will probably be disappointed in not being able to give Peyton a couple of his "love hugs."
They'll sandwich Peyton Manning on a big sack and fumble recovery.I believe it was reported Watt and Wilfork will play little if any.
The Texans will manhandle the Broncos in all three phases of the game.
It shouldn't be that close of a game. We will punch them in the mouth!!!!
I have this feeling that I will know what Denver is about to do presnap. I just remember kubiak being very predictable which I believe other teams picked up on through the years. I'm guessing the vets on our team should look good against Denver.
But not very well in Houston last year.Must be why it worked so well in Baltimore last year.
I'm just not sure taking Peyton's brain out of the game, putting it in the trophy case and substituting Gary's adds net value.
& I'm not so sure that's the way it works. Kubiak didn't give Matt Schaub & whatever else we had a lot of freedom at the LOS. Who's to say he won't allow Peyton Manning, SGOAT (Second Greatest of All Time) more freedom. As "the" QB whisperer, I'm sure he had a grasp of what Matt Schaub could & could not handle. And while all of us who knew Schaub would never win a Super Bowl, maybe this is where Kublai draws the line.
Every play had options built in. Routes changed, checks to run, run left, or run right... that may have been the extent of Shaub's ability.
With Kubiak, it is obvious that Peyton for the first time in ages has had to play within the confines of ANY limitations. With his physical abilities diminishing with age and injuries, this wiley ole vet needs now more than ever to react instinctively and immediately to the defenses' strategies. Kubiak taking away even just one choice in his play options appears to already be enough to screw him up.

From what I recall they barely snuck into the playoffs. Kubiak wasn't the HC over there. He was the OC, and the core of offensive players had already been there. Most of them any way. Overall I'd say that Kubiak did a fair job over there last year though.
Sounds like Kubiak hate to me. I doubt Kubiak will limit Mannings options any more than he limited Elways.
