Texans V Steelers Game Day Thread

Same **** over and over again under Kubiak, the lack of discipline is typical of him, you're miles behind the play so why are you laying that hit?

We're up 10 points at half and still I'm so ****ing pissed off right now.

I hear you! We're up 10, shutting out the Steelers... why am I not happy?

- AJ may be gone for the season
- Tate is hurt
- Dominating the game, but only up 10
- Dumb ass penalties!

And by the way, Manning blocked the kick, so he kept 3 points off the board for the Steelers, but prevented the Texans from getting 7 more...

A bigger question: Why in the NFL is that even a penalty to begin with?

If the player could not have reasonably made a play on that return, it should be like the rule where a WR cannot catch a ball (uncatchable pass) there is no penalty.

Halfway pissed at Manning, halfway pissed at petty NFL rules that nullify great plays like that.

It is a bit silly.

Right now the Steelers are lucky to be down 10.

I hope Kubiak is destroying the locker room with a pick axe right now.

He has to get control of this team and tell them that THIS is the defining second half of the whole season. THIS 2nd HALF of football is the season.

God I hope he's not in there namby-pamby, cool and collected, trying to instill peace in his players. With AJ's injury, with the lack of that TD at the end of the half, he needs to tell EVERY SINGLE PLAYER is replaceable after today's game if they continue to be sloppy and blow their opportunities.

And why is that a penalty in the first place?
That is a horseshit call.

Why is there no penalty for PI when the ball is thrown 20 feet away from the WR? Becuase it doesn't affect the play.

A block (IN THE SIDE) "in the back" 15 yards behind the play has no bearing on the play and should not have been called.

These refs bet on the Steelers. This is the biggest bunch of crap I've ever seen from guys in stripes

Looks like AJ's injury may have been caused by a hyperextension of his knee early in the run.

It is hard to even root for the team after seeing what happened to AJ. Without him we'd be lucky to win 8 games this year and will have to have a MVP season from Foster just to do so.

Texans:

The favorite to break out
The one that, if all is put together, can be a power house.

However due to:
Bad coaching
Bad play calling
Penalties from stupid players
Injuries

SAME OLD TEXANS

I hope I'm wrong. We need some GB Packer resolve like how they overcame injuries last year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why would refs call that **** anyway. The man who was blocked wasnt going to make a tackle anyway. The whole thing was irrelevant

Based on Texans 2nd half history this game is at best even. Pittsburgh will make adjustments while Texans will do nothing. Texans just because you won first half you do realize they are going to make changes. Time for offense to let Steelers catch up and Texans defense to go soft.

I think this team is trying to kill me. I haven't sworn this much all week.

Anyone that blames Kubes for that block in the back is a damn fool.

Agree. I also hope that Matt comes out in the second half willing to get into players faces and pull a Tom Brady. These mental mistakes must be correct right NOW.

With our constant CB 10yd buffer, we've gone back to prevent defense, but this time beginning from the 2nd quarter rather than waiting for the 3rd or 4th quarter.

They are starting to remind me of the Rockets during the Tmac-Yao years minus the Bad Coaching.

Texans are calling Andre Johnson's injury hamstring, not knee. Return still questionable.

He needs to. This is ridiculous, have some discipline out there! Especially with these refs who are looking to splurge their yellow flags all over the field like a cheap whore

you call block in the back penalities for the same reason as horse collar penalties -- they lead to serious injury

If our other free agent DB had simply sprinted to the endzone instead of showboating as soon as he got the ball, maybe he'd have been so far ahead of the play that the refs might not have seen it.

Defense changed into a less aggressive softer defense in the middle of the 2nd.

I dunno why that is when what we were doing was working. Texans love to make things closer than they should be it seems.

most crews wouldnt have called it. theres a penalty somewhere on every play. good crews generally call the ones that affect the game. danieal shouldve known the way they were calling it based on earlier **** they were calling. still saved us 3 pts though

Why would Manning make that boneheaded block in the back anyway. He wasn't going to make a tackle anyway.

Fixed it for you.

This team today is raising my blood pressure.
