the early weeks are always the toughest since the league is so fresh each new season. It's hard to tell who is going to be the better teams until they have played each other a few times and you can cross reference performances.

To be honest, and it hurts me to say this, but the past 2 season's I've thought the Titans would be average. Obviously I've been wrong, so I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt this season.

That said, I still chose the Steelers to win and even though I was hoping for a blowout, I only gave it 5 confidence points.

I just now joined and made my picks, except for last night's game (wish I'dda seent this thread Weds!)...

I clicked "SAVE PICKS" and it still sez "Incomplete" at the top.

Whut'd I do wrong???

Other than being a day late, I mean.

I think it's because you missed the first game. Yeah, programs hate it when you show up late. LOL

Hookem Horns, TexansSam have no picks at all in the system. there are several others that look like they are holding out until the final moments to make their picks...

Did you set the tiebreaker games? Looks like the system took your other picks.

All I can do is see that people actually make their picks. I have no idea who they picked until the game starts...I think everyone else can see the same thing as me...just look under "Group Picks"

Yeah, I made the tiebreaker game picks but the pick the highest/lowest score thingee was grayed out.

I'm 22nd and went 12-4. bleh @ Arizona, Carolina, Chicago & Houston. This week should be tougher for everybody. A lot of good games this week.

Hell, I went 14-2 and I'm in 9th place. It's amazing that I only get two games wrong and 6 guys with 4 wrong picks are ahead of me. I feel like the Oilers. :smiliedance:

I am one of them, I went 13-3. It's all about them confidence points, should make for some fun :)
 
Okay, Titans vs Texans. Who are y'all picking and how many confidence points you giving it.

I've got titans with 9 confidence points. I might even move that number up a little more.

That's about the neighborhood I will put them in. I picked the Texans against the Jets but I didn't put a lot of confidence points in them, thankfully.

I have the Titans with 7 confidence points. The only reason I won't go higher is because I don't want it to happen.

Have not made my pick yet...but I will always pick the Texans to win...my confidence may be high...or low, depending on who we play.

As for this game...I pick the Texans...with a confidence of 4. After last weeks play, I am NOT too confident. A win this weekend would help alot though.

Yeah, and I have the Baltimore/SD game in double digits in confidence points. Shows you how much confidence I have in some other teams this week.

actually, i have a new strategy. i pick *AGAINST* the texans. that way, if they win, i am happy. if they lose, the sting is abated marginally because my fantasy points racked up.
 
I always pick the Texans. (Except by the halfway point of the 2-14 season.)

Not exactly the smartest strategy in the world but it's my strategy.

I pick them when I think they will win. That's pretty much my overall strategy behind picking teams that I think will win for the most part. Now that the cat's out of the bag I hope this game doesn't get too competitive now.

Me too. But very often, even when I think they should win, I don't have the brass ones to give them a bunch of confidence points.
I never know who will show up.

Edit:
I have adopted the rickyb and Hardcore strategy. I'm picking against them in hopes that my bad Karma will help them win.
