Texans Running Backs

I do agree on most of your points, yet Marks did rush for 1,133 yards in 2024. What I like best about him in the Gap system, he follows his blockers closely and is quick into the hole. This should take advantage of linebackers dropping into the backfield to protect against Stroud's passing.
I think Mixon will be okay, but Chubb being healthy will offer Mixon some relief and insurance in case Joe leaves the field for more than a couple plays.
I just wonder how many of these backs are they gonna keep?
Roster spots are a premium but I guess Backs do make up a big chunk of your offensive snaps.
Could be pointing to a run heavy Texans under Caley?

I listen when I walk my dog at 6pm on 610. Usually you get Vandmeer and Harris. I would say it is always over hyped, but I do hear a lot more detail there.
I realize it’s hyped but IMO that makes it even better. I want to get pumped up. We get enough baloney on this MB. I prefer optimism 🌞over constant second guessing 🌧️. Not drinking Kool Aid but it leads to better mental and physical health.

As long as you know it is hype, but when he goes through every OL person and every DL person with what they are showing/flashing and such, it does make me go back and look some of these guys up, like Solomon Byrd. So some quick in depth stuff you know is exaggerated, but it does leave you more optimistic especially if good coaching is in place. I am like you, I like to be optimistic and pumped for the season. Wish we had an easy opener to get some reps on offense

Cody Stoots has been putting up a podcast on YouTube after each practice. I’m not a big fan of his staccato verbal delivery but his info is first hand, and well done in terms of actual real analysis without the syrupy sugar with extra honey of Marc V and Harris.
