The only WF college great I remember is CB Alphonso Smith. He was an INT and PD machine.
I love the Clay Walker song.
What I like about Savage is what he did in two years with two non-football years in between. He has skill sets and if Godsey/ OBrien are what I think they are, then Savage will be a player.Well, I'll say this much. It's going to seem a lot different with all of the young wideouts we have. There isn't an Andre Johnson to shelter these guys with a go-to target when times get tough. DeAndre Hopkins may be ready to take on a bigger role and become a leader on offense.
Jaelen Strong has a chance to blossom into a real star and All Pro caliber wide receiver in the NFL but only time will tell. I don't want to make any unfair comparisons but Jaelen Strong out of Arizona State reminds me of a young Dez Bryant coming out of Oklahoma State. Just in terms of his size, athleticism and agility. He has that Dez Bryant type of body. He's one of the young rookies I'm looking forward to seeing featured on Hard Knocks.
Hopefully one of those quarterbacks we have can find a quick connection and develop a rhythm together with the young wide receivers. My worst fear is we don't have a franchise quarterback on our roster. I'm really hoping that Ryan Mallett becomes one but his body seems so fragile. Tom Savage is a long shot to become anything special at the NFL level. He strikes me as a career backup at best. I guess I just sort of buy into Brian Hoyer's body of work. I know it isn't much but he played some good football for the Browns in a few games I watched. Unfortunately, just like Mallett, he had trouble staying healthy. But I believe that Hoyer gave the Browns a better chance to win than the circus of clowns they had in that awful environment.
My thoughts exactly. What I like about Savage is what he did in two years with two non-football years in between. He has skill sets and if Godsey/ OBrien are what I think they are, then Savage will be a player.
Have we retired the "bulls oh parade" thing? What about the Clay Walker song?

For some reason I always liked the stupid Thunderstruck mechanical bull videos. I don't know why. They're so dumb but kind of cool at the same time. It's hard to explain. I think it's like you know you're getting played by the Texans when that stuff comes on but at the same time you're actually pretty excited about the game starting so you don't mind it so much.
I'm overthinking this aren't I?
Just start football season now.... Please?
Bulls on Parade can GTFO as far as I'm concerned. I've never cared for it (not much of a Rage Against The Machine guy) and I wasn't a fan of the Clay Walker song but it's kind of grown on me over the years. Not in a "I sure hope they play that all the way through 3-4 times today" kind of way but it brings a smile to my face (and then I'm ready for it to stop).

I went back to Win7Windows 10 is making it difficult for me to follow the Texans. Grrrrrrrr At least I don't hate it (yet) as much as I did Windows 8.
Jealous?Dude's worse than Johnny Manziel. Never miss a photo op.
He has both a good heart and a good agent from what I can tell. There will always be the next guy/gal in line any time he leaves so he'll have his detractors who can't handle disappointment.I cannot remember any Houston athlete that spends as much time with the public as does Watt.

Hey, don't knock small business initiativesIt's a shame to think about all those poor workers in Dallas sweatshops making those t-shirts for the public. Just sad.
As the Texans have gotten off to a 1-2 start, they haven’t only been plagued by slow starts.
The Texans have outscored opponents 16-14 in the first quarter. And they’ve been a strong finisher with a 27-7 scoring margin in their favor in the fourth quarter.
However, the second quarter has been a problem area for the Texans through three games as they’ve been outscored 32-3 overall against the Kansas City Chiefs, Carolina Panthers and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
“I don’t know, but we’ve got to fix that,” Texans coach Bill O’Brien said. “I don’t know what that is. I’ve seen that, too. I think we need to fix that. We need to start these games better overall, especially on offense. We have to start better.
“We need to start better, but that second quarter, there’s a lull there that we’ve got to figure that out. You’re right. We’ll continue to try to figure what that is.”

John Simon fined is appealing punishment for hit on Jameis Winston
Winston has whined about it ever since the game..............loudly, and to anyone that would listen.I thought it was a bad call when it happened. Can't believe he's getting fined for it.
Mike Mohamed expressed frustration with going on injured reserve said he's nearly recovered is contemplating pursuing injury settlement
Mike Mohamed emphasized that he wants to get back on the field this year he has a strained calf
Why not? Splitting the difference seems to be a worst case scenario for appeals. Of course that will lead to simply doubling the penalties in order to get the end results desired. Depending on your perspective, it is either flawed negotiation tactics or practical tactics for the lazy, incompetent and ignorant. Guess which perspective I take?Aaron Wilson @AaronWilson_NFL 1m1 minute ago
