TEXANS PLAYER TRANSACTIONS

Texans signed LB E.J. Speed, formerly of the Colts, to a one-year, $5 million contract.
The deal comes with a $1.75 million signing bonus, $1.5 million guaranteed, $1.5 million in playtime incentives, and a $500,000 Pro Bowl escalator. Speed set a career high in tackles in 2024 with 142, including seven tackles for loss and five pass break ups. He’ll bolster an aggressive Texans linebacking corps after spending the first six years of his NFL career with the Colts.

More "games" with injury reporting. Ravens TE Isaiah Likely was reported by Harbaugh to have rolled his ankle and needed to be carted off the field. Per Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic, Harbaugh told reporters that Likely would a couple of weeks. News per Rapoport then that Likely suffered a small fracture in his foot and now he revealed that he had undergone an unspecified surgery on his foot which will keep him out for 6-8 weeks.

His unreported fracture is in fact a Jones fracture. The 6-8 week return is optimistic.

As an aside, I find it amusing when any report of a "small fracture" comes out..................a fracture is a fracture, and unless it is a complicated or an open fracture, the prognosis for the fracture is essentially the same as for a "bigger fracture."
I didn't know this

Thanks for the info
