The Texans have waived-injured Johnny Johnson III as they signed wide receiver Quintez Cephus.

Cephus is most famous for being suspended by the NFL in 2023 due to its gambling (entrapment?) policy.

He was in camp with the Texans last preseason and cut/not signed to the practice squad. He lasted less than a week with the 49ers in his last stop in July. Camp body to keep Mertz/Slovis busy.
