Originally I thought the Texans only traded a 4th round pick for DT, but I’m seeing that some say that we have a 4th and 7th.
Does anyone have any clarification on it?

According to Marc Vandemeer on Texans website we have no 4th but do have a 7th.

BTW, I love his first mock
I love his mock like I love the idea of hooking up with Mila Kunis..
Got the hots for her do ya?
Bro, I'd eat a mile of her sh*t just to see where it came from..
Back in the day we used to say we'd hide behind the outhouse just to hear her fart.Bro, I'd eat a mile of her sh*t just to see where it came from..
OT is being mocked in top 25 picks. Don't see him there in the 2nd round
Vandermeer has the Texans taking Cody Ford in the 2nd, Greedy Williams in the 1st.Don't see who?

Yeah ain't no way Ford drops out of the first. That would be great.
Not gonna happen.
Ford.. My badDon't see who?

Not liking the RB... one of his biggest strengths is his pass catching ability?
What would we need that for?
Her ears are too big and her jaw is too square for me to try any of the suggestions that followed.I love his mock like I love the idea of hooking up with Mila Kunis..

The one I heard was I'd drag my balls across a mile of barbed wire just to hear her fart through a walkie talkie

Thanks JB, small screen and old eyes. Would have a happy dance if Cody would be there in the second, I see him mocked before our first so need him to smoke some wacky weed or somethingYeah you missed it. He had Ford and Trayvon Mullen in the 2nd and Isabella in the 3rd
I think it's imprudent maybe even foolish to expect improvement from "our young tackles". It would be better IMO to expect no such improvement and then look upon it as a windfall were it happen so then I say draft accordingly which means atleast two tackle prospects taken in the first 4 picks assuming no OT acquisitions in free agency.
Now that Brian Gaine is responsible for and in charge of the Draft over on Kirby I'm expecting something different which will include the highest priority for the OLine becauseThat would require the folks on Kirby to harbor some suspicion they possibly could be less than stellar. Do you really think their egos will allow that?
Cody Ford, OT, Oklahoma
This is a big (6-4, 330) high-motor mauler who loves to knock large people over. He played on arguably the best line in football and will undoubtedly inspire ‘he’s a 10-year starter’ type comments. I still think our young tackles can improve. And I love that Seantrel Henderson gets to give it another go. But more help is needed. And if he turns out to be a great guard instead, like John Harris thinks, so be it. Ford appears to be able to help a team right away.

After seeing the last 2 yrs OL's,
Yes I do
you have more faith than I... I've been watching this franchise since the before the name was conceived
Cal McNair seems like he really wants to have a winning team, so I can see him handing over the necessary cash for Gaine to go after anyone who he thinks might be a player the team needs.A new owner and GM are the beginning of a new era, where the owner truly is a hands off owner as long as the P/L doesn't suffer.
New = Hope in this case.

What two tackles do you expect to be available and in what rounds? A generic "at least two tackles in the first 4 picks" doesn't seem like a good way to conduct a draft. What if there simply aren't any 2nd round rated tackles left when the Texans draft in the 2nd round? Draft one anyway and pass on a higher rated player?Cody Ford, OT, Oklahoma

Are you drafting one of these guys to be your starting LT for the next 10 years? Are you expecting him to come in and start right away? What do you see with Davenport that says he won't develop into an above average LT? We all knew he would be a bit of a project so I would expect year 3 to be a big one for him in terms of quality of play.I hope they sign a FA LT and draft a CB in the 1st if a guy like Greedy falls to 23. Gaine should be able to draft one of my favorite OT's in the 2nd. Although he may need to trade up towards the top of rd 2.
Cajuste may be there. If he's not guys like McGary/Scharping/Edoga /Edwards should be there at 23 of the 2nd rd.

I'm not suggesting that Gaine should be inflexible in the Draft but I do think most teams probably including the Texans draft according to their needest positions after the first round so Gaine might find himself himself in a position in later rounds where he does need to compromise on Board player rankings in the interest of improving roster talentWhat two tackles do you expect to be available and in what rounds? Something I have noticed over the last few drafts is that teams have been more prepared to reach and they have a legitimate excuse to do so - citing that their assessment of the draftee they chose had him ranked higher than common consensus.I'm not suggesting that Gaine should be inflexible in the Draft but I do think most teams probably including the Texans draft according to their needest positions after the first round so Gaine might find himself himself in a position in later rounds where he does need to compromise on Board player rankings in the interest of improving roster talent
at OT.
I would prefer to see them draft BPA/BPA position of need approach. If I have a round one top 5 or 10 grade on a WR falls to 23, I'm going to seriously consider drafting that player after revaluating my positions of need. I would not reach for a 2nd round graded player in the 1st or a 3rd round graded player in the 2nd because that players was at a position of need. If the value isn't there at a position of need, I'd go BPA.I'm not suggesting that Gaine should be inflexible in the Draft but I do think most teams probably including the Texans draft according to their needest positions after the first round so Gaine might find himself himself in a position in later rounds where he does need to compromise on Board player rankings in the interest of improving roster talent

I’d wager Cody Ford is taken before Greedy, and if there not sure Greedy is a good fit for O’Brian? Next tackle prospect after Ford-
Andre Dillard, LT for your

You don't protect DWs backside by reaching for a player, regardless of need. Isn't doing that pretty much what got the Texans into the predicament they are in on the OL?If Oliver/ Metcalf fell I would definitely consider them at 23.
Very talented guys.
This would depend on who Gaine signed in FA. Gotta protect Watson 1st and foremost.

I agree and If Trent Brown isn't signed in FA.
Trading up for Dillard should be on the table. You cant sit there and hope that Dillard falls to you. Signing Brown opens up options for Gaine.
Who is we?
By we I think he means the former GM.
nah...just seems to be making himself, as a fan, a part of the organization...we do it all the time.
