Super Bowl XL: Steelers vs Seahawks

I think Hasselback will show that his experince makes him more effective in a SB. SeaHags 28-17

If the Seahawks can pick up those exotic Steelers blitzes, then they win. Otherwise, the Steelers D has a field day and destroys the beloved Seahawks.

Since it is impossible for me to cheer for the Steelers, I will have to go with the Seahawks. Should be a great game.

I am 0-10 in the playoffs for the team I am rooting for.

So this basically means the Seahawks will win, and I will go 0-11

I'd like to see Bettis get his ring before he retires. I still don't like Holmgrem from when he coached in Greenbay.

I'll be cheering for the Steelers.

Steelers! Steelers! Steelers! :yahoo:

I just don't like the NFC. :spy:

I feel the same way. :thumbup

Some people in H-town hold a grudge against the Steelers (going back to Luv Ya Blue!). But the past is the past, and I don't let any Spoilers history drag me down. I'm done with that franchise!

So go Steelers! Represent the AFC!! :redtowel:

I came to the realization yesterday that I don't hate the Steelers anymore. I wonder when that happened. I hope the Cowgirls or Titans aren't next.

Anyway...rooting for the Seahawks; predicting Steelers in a rout.

Oilers, no Oilers....history, no history....I just can't stand the Pittsburgh Steelers. Never could. I will be a citizen of Seahawk Nation for the next 2 weeks, hoping that the extra time off slows Pittsburgh's momentum some. I mean they are on a 7 game winning streak right now.

Rooting big time for the Seahawks. But I know if the Steelers continue to play they way they have for the last month and a half, they probably can't be beat.

Steelers wrap it up by the 2nd quarter.

If the Colts couldn't put down 20 at home, who's to say the Hawks stand a chance.....

True but this isn't home field advantage for either team. I'm pulling for the Seahawks. Just want to see a new team finally win a SB title.

I was saying Colts had the homefield. Not the Steelers. Just throwing it out there.

And to add further fuel to the fire, I retract my previous statement of the Steelers wrapping up the game by the 2nd quarter.

I believe the Steelers will wrap up the game by the 1st quarter.

I don't know who I want to win and I don't have an opinion about who's the better team. It's very frustrating. :brickwall

I gotta make some decisions here.

I'll be paying special attention to the Seahawks LT Walter Jones match-up with Joey Porter and the Pittsburgh blitz. they say this is where the championships are won in the trenches, as Texans we approach the draft and ponder the possiblity to trade down and have to choose between a DE (Mario Williams) & a LT (D'Brickashaw Ferguson).

may the best team win and the Texans learn something in process

I would ask why you don't like Holmgren, but I really don't care what you would say. Holmgren is top notch in my book, and ESPECIALLY while he was at GB.

Even though I would like the Bus to get his ring, I can not root for the Squeelers. I have developed a liking for the Seachickens anyway this year. It's their turn for a ring.

GO 'HAWKS!! :)

GG will find out this coming Sunday that his choice in leaders for this country is as sound as his football knowledge. Seahawks win.

PARTY ON SUNDAY!!!! :redtowel:
hangover on monday :crying:
did yall hear about that petition that is trying to make sunday a national holiday? what do yall think about that. i know we all talk about it, but have any of yall actually considered it? i think it would be great. we are a nation that loves football. i think we all need to try and get it to be a holiday to get out of school and work. i mean, honestly, how many of us call in sick the next day? i know i do!! there are on average 1.4 million people that call out on that monday!

Would make sense. I've heard before that there's more partying on Super Bowl Sunday than on New Years Eve.

I'm gonna say Steelers 27 and Seahawks 24.....Pittsburgh will win in dramatic fashion on a last second FG kick.

Hell...what's the point of the Seahawks even taking the field, right? You have the Steelers and Ben Worthlessburger winning the game before a snap!

I stand by my prediction...Seattle by 3. It should be close.

You're right... I let my emotions influence me into making a hasty and unwise prediction.

After calming down and thinking about the outcome of this game with a clearer mind.... I retract my previous statement.

My new prediction?

The Steelers will clinch the game in the pregame warmups, and the halftime show will be ten times better than the trashy filth we had to endure last year.

Trashy filth? Janet Jackson was two years ago.
Sir Paul McCartney was the featured act last year.

Hopefully, Mick and certainly Keith will not have any wardrobe malfunctions today. Keith has enough malfunctions as it is.

Going to be interesting with both teams sharing the tunnel for 45 seconds...even though there have been warnings and promises of things being smooth (Can Porter make it without trashtalking....nah)....I am looking forward to this game! :yahoo:

My bad. Janet was the definition of trashy filth.

Paul was just a snoozefest filth.

But enough of halftime show trashing. They're always trash anyways.

I want the Seahawks to put up a good game and give me a reason to pout the morning after.

Ever since I saw the Steelers beat the Colts I knew they would be in Superbowl 40.....I think they will win today but I am also sure that it will be a very close game which may be decided by the running backs.....

Go the Steelers......:homer:

The Groaning Stones havent sounded good in a while.
Can we please get some act that can at least sound halfway decent?

It sounds like 4 guys playing 4 different songs and a singer who can't speak English to me.
