So.. what do you think we can get for Stroud in the off season? How does Slowik and Strausser still have jobs this morning?
This lack of accountability situation is becoming a major issue. You get what you tolerate.
* The photo of CJ and Slowik reminds me of the saying, a picture is worth a thousand words. CJ has checked out on Slowik. This is headed for divorce court. CJ can’t leave yet, but if there aren’t major changes next year, you can bet your bottom dollar, he’ll just hold out and sign elsewhere in FA.

Burrow isn’t happy in Cincinnati and I don’t think Stroud would mind returning to Ohio.So.. what do you think we can get for Stroud in the off season?

John Harris replied to TexansCap about this. Harris said it is the proper protection, just poorly executed by the RB.
It would have been better if tight end Schultz had not attempted to block and went straight and to the right to catch a pass.John Harris replied to TexansCap about this. Harris said it is the proper protection, just poorly executed by the RB.
If the OL cant block, what's the OL supposed to do?
What besides firing Slowik would you do?How does Slowik and Strausser still have jobs this morning?

I think you meant, what's the OC supposed to do? IMO, he has call plays that offsets the OL weakness, do things to keep the defense off balance., etc. What he can't do is continue down the same path that is getting his QB blown up or continue to have his tendencies identified by opposing coaches or players on the field. If the OL cant block, what's the OL supposed to do?

BTW, Stroud isn't going anywhere.
I don't understand why Broeker hasn't been given an opportunity at guard... or RT. He looked excellent in the preseason playing out of position at RT... And, why the hell isn't Blake Fisher playing one of the tackle positions? I guess it could be injury related, but it sure seems like Demeco and company are insanely stubbornly resistant to make personnel any adjustments during the season. I guess player accountability ceases to matter after Labor Day.What besides firing Slowik would you do?
Oh, and I would bench the f*ck out of that wet noodle: Schultz.I don't understand why Broeker hasn't been given an opportunity at guard... or RT. I believe Fischer was/is out due to concussion. Hopefully he gets a shot when he's healthy.I don't understand why Broeker hasn't been given an opportunity at guard... or RT. What if Slowick is doing what you're asking for but his QB is playing at a different speed? What if he's reading the defense & predetermining where the ball is going to go & not letting the play unfold?Slowik tends to gets complete tunnel vision on offense with his play calls at times. I think Schultz is soft ass ****, but he didn’t even get a target until late 3rd, early 4th.
Dell has disappointed this year with too many drops, but it seems they only call plays for him when he’s running deep, long developing routes on the outside or all the way across the damn field..which are extremely tough throws and take time.
Where’s the quick hitting stuff..where’s the intermediate stuff. Why the hell is every pass off play action unless we’re in a spread of
I don't see it. They knew Slowick was a work in progress when they hired him. Slowick just needs to convince them that he is in fact getting better as a play-caller (which is only part of his job).Slowik is dead man walking. Even if Meco doesn’t agree, Hannah has the pulse of the fans and right now a large majority of the fans want a change. Bobby is a nice guy. I like him personaly and wish him well…but his time is done here. Time for a change.
That's the way it goes sometimes. With all due respect, Hannah needs to hush. She talked sh*t about the Titans pre game and her team got humiliated.
He says two Nico Collins touchdowns were called back because of penalty. He goes into detail about the last one, illegal shift... then he goes to the play caller? That was squarely on the guy who snapped the ball or the guy who told him to snap the ball. Not the play caller.
???????? Your comment doesn't make sense to me. You have Mixon and the WR in motion. How is this on the Center? Who tells the Center to snap the ball? It's the QB. So it's possible he made the mistake. But who is the play caller? You mean on the the sideline or in the huddle? Who was suppose to be in motion? The way I figure it, it was the other guy who screwed the pooch. He says two Nico Collins touchdowns were called back because of penalty. I thought it was obvious that Mixon was in errorThe way I figure it, it was the other guy who screwed the pooch.
On the illegal motion play that resulted in a TD being nullified, CJ has stated it was his fault and it was due to his miscommunication in the huddle.???????? Your comment doesn't make sense to me. I'm not sure if I'd want to dump Slowik. Just get him some full-time consultant help now who could also provide an evaluation after the season...anyone know what Chucky is up to these days? The Texans need to go outside the building for the new play caller even if it means surviving Slowic for this year. I would look for an offensive-minded ex-head coach.
Yep, this offense could use some “Split two, Spider Y Banana” in its life!!I'm not sure if I'd want to dump Slowik. Just get him some full-time consultant help now who could also provide an evaluation after the season...anyone know what Chucky is up to these days?

Owners don’t need to run their mouth consistently like that. That's the way it goes sometimes.
Omaha is the only conceivable solution to this quandary.Yep, this offense could use some “Split two, Spider Y Banana” in its life!!
Oh..kay? I thought the quarterback called a play and the players responded correctly as they have practiced? According to this, Stroud calls the play and then wiggles his ears or points his index finger at the player and says " hey you! You are the one that goes into motion and you the other guy doesn't!"On the illegal motion play that resulted in a TD being nullified, CJ has stated it was his fault and it was due to his miscommunication in the huddle.

Why not? I think most of us on this message board and 9 out of 10 other fans if they owned an NFL team would run their mouth. I sure would.Owners don’t need to run their mouth consistently like that.
Because successful owners don’t need to do that. You don’t see the Chiefs owner doing that. Why not? I think most of us on this message board and 9 out of 10 other fans if they owned an NFL team would run their mouth. I sure would.

Oh.. he's correct but I think he has a different close 'to what' than do I.

yes and we keep doing the sameWhat makes you confident that the second-half issues, one touchdown in six weeks, isn’t the norm and is still abnormal?
Bobby Slowik: "The tape. We see we are close. We believe in the process. The process is sound. The players believe in the process. It will manifest itself." #Texans
Bobby Slowik said it isn’t a change from opposing defenses adjusting to them at halftimes.
He said their second halves have been littered with bad football.
He says there is belief they’re close to carrying over some of their success from first halves.

Then why do 31 other owners also keep their mouths shut? Why not? I think most of us on this message board and 9 out of 10 other fans if they owned an NFL team would run their mouth. I sure would.
Well we know the Tennessee owner doesn't..Then why do 31 other owners also keep their mouths shut?
