We already knew Skip Clueless was just an !d!0t with a big mouth ....

As for Schaub not being any good - He has his flaws but usually plays within his limitations. The guy is one of only 6 QB's (I believe he's the 6th) in NFL history to throw for 9,000 yards over a two season span? Cant be no good and do things so few others have accomplished.

If I had one complaint about Schaub it would be his inability to deliver an accurate deep ball.

He said back in the day that we should draft him. I loath him. ****ing Reggie is better than him, and that is saying very little.

Is Young free to walk or do the Titans still have a hold on, under contract or in a position where they can demand comp for his release before he can sign with another team ?

The Titans have zero chance of trading him. He is due a $4.5 mil roster bonus on March 10. He'll be axed before them. Any team that were to trade for him would owe that plus $8.5 mil in salary next season. Not happening. He'll be an UFA soon.

The titans torpedoed any trade value he might've held by announcing he wouldn't be back. Now whether they had already called other teams or not before they announced this, I don't know, but that announcement was basically them saying he's about to be cut.

Now, Skip Bayless being an *****. . . well, that's been known for quite awhile now. Maybe HoustonFrog can shed some light on why Skip Bayless is so loved in the DFW area.

Not necessarily. That's only true if there's only one team interested. If there are multiple teams, they'll each make their pitch. Otherwise, they'll have to risk a bidding war with real dollars.

That is pretty laughable. Schaub is a much better passer and I would suggest leader than Vince in the NFL.

Question is however, Is Vince a better backup QB prospect than Dan-O and Leniart?

I think if we want intelligent commentary about the Texans, we'll have to wait for the Onion's Sports Dome to come on the air.

Now the guy is saying Michael Irvin was better than Jerry Rice.

Basically saying Jerry Rice just showed up, did his job, and with no leadership ability. I guess hookers, cocain, and being unfaithful = leadership ability.

The idea of a bidding war happening over Vince Young is so laughable I don't know what to think. I literally have tears streaming down my eyes thinking about different NFL GM's running to Tennessee throwing draft picks, players, and money around trying to procure the services of the best sausage salesman from Madison.

For the Texans? No. In another post, I mentioned that Seneca Wallace, Matt Hasselbeck, Matt Moore, Rex Grossman, Tyler Thigpien, and Alex Smith will ALL be available. I'd take any of those guys as a backup over VY or Dan-O. Chances are, Leinart will be looking for a starting gig, but I think the others would be thrilled to come in as a backup in Kubiak's system.

I gotta agree with Infantrycak here, the guy never had any trade value.

I didn't say they WOULD. Just laying out the scenario that unless it was only ONE team interested in Vince, announcing his departure didn't hurt any trade value (if any) that he had initially. It was intended to be hypothetical. :kitten:

Bayless is an asshat all the way around. This just puts him over the top. If the Texans did sign VY, I would jump off a bridge.... :mariopalm:

No really though, you used the words "Vince Young" and "bidding war" in the same sentence. I didn't even think that would be possible unless discussing extreme polar opposites like hot and cold, or Rosie O'Donnell and boners.

Oh Skip...

I think VY's contract make him hard to move. I don't think teams will get in a "bidding war" for VY but the thing about a trade (7th round pick) is that you get that player. Once he gets cut, you're competing against 30 other teams hypothetically. That's not just teams offering money... but VY actually deciding which of the teams he wants to go to. I just don't think any team is going to want to pay him that money... could restructure it with a L/T contract I guess. But that would be putting a lot of faith that he's your franchise QB

Sorry for being a jerk but I'm glad VY proved how overrated he was. To all those people at UT who told me taking Mario was mistake, f--k yall! Skip obviously doesn't watch the Texans otherwise he would know how lethal the play-action pass to AJ is.

ESPN, and Skip Bayless, thank you for talking about them; which is exactly what they wanted to happen.

Bayless is no longer a reporter, he's an opinion machine; and as such he is more likely to give an opinion that generates conflict then one that does not.

Y'all all know this...right?

Yeah, Skip Bayless is to ESPN as Richard Justice is to the Houston Chronicle.

Meh, I'd blow a crippled coon before watching espn shows. If it's not the espn news channel or a game, I ain't watchin it. All of them are blowholes

So, out of the top 5 of that draft, only D'Brick has consistently lived up to the hype?

No, Fergesun has had his warts as well and the organization wasn't exactly thrilled with him up until Rex got there. I'd say Mario and Vernon Davis have been the best picks in the top 10 so far for that draft.

EDIT: And D'Brick.

I saw that. I truly believe he says crap to stir the pot.

That's exactly what he does. It's exactly why I stopped watching any ESPN shows other than regular news that I have to watch on that network years ago. ESPN is nothing but a drama network surrounding sports. They get guys like Skip, Marriotti, and a few others to run their mouths and argue with each other with different opinions to fill space. I don't believe that Skip believes even a quarter of the opinions he claims to have on those shows. He just plays the antagonist role and the controversial opinion to have differing views than the other guy or the majority. It's a clown mentality at ESPN and the more people watch that stupid network the worse it surely will get. ESPN's been a joke for years.
