Sexual Assault Suits Against Watson

Enough with the "legalize prostitution" stuff, that has nothing at all to do with this case. These civil cases are for sexual assault which, if there is a criminal case, is what it will be about, not solicitation. So you are completely off topic and this thread is already riding a thin line so please don't give the mods an excuse to shut it down.

for that reason I’ll walk away from it but as a last comment my post was too subtle. I could care less about the issue, but it was on topic. My thought was had this been a legal escort service DW and this whole issue disappears, his butt is traded and we can be talking about the new draft picks. And please don’t go into the no means no junk. I’m in full agreement but my comment assumes that issue Would not have been raised.

Is it really that hard to get laid nowadays? DW4 has some real issues and insecurities if this is his modus operandi to satisfying his sexual desires. This is where a culture coach would come in handy helping players deal with their inadequacies and immaturities.

Its not about getting laid IMO...i dont even think its a fetish.
It's got to be something darker, which would require a psych not a character coach.

There's a miniscule chance its about maturity but that would require some major emotional stunting & if so, how could so many miss it?

He forwarded one of the plaintiff's digits to at least two other players, so the idea that he was super-secretive about it all flies out the window (for me at this point)

It’s really not about getting laid. If that’s what Watson wants I doubt this is the way he wants to go about it. If this is true, it speaks to a sickness. Some psychological something or other.

I really don’t know the guy, but it’s hard to believe he would

IF the charges turn out to be true and IF he is convicted of anything I really would be interested in a psychological study of why someone in Watson's position, young, rich, famous, good looking, would do something like this. Is it about control, ego or what? Boy can't wait to see who the first one to write a tell all book in the future about this time with the Texans will be. My money is on Easterby, he strikes me as the type that would want people to read his thoughts and writings.

If you add 51 & 7 you get 58, which you divide by Watsons number (4) and you get 14.5. The "4" in 14.5 simply indicates Watson's ID, so you drop the 4 and the decimal point and you have 15, which is the number of lawsuits so far.
All of this before 9:00AM. Amazing!

reminded me of this show

Ok, I’m naive. What in the hell does 51-7 mean?

51 represents the estimated online masseuses that will come forward with their allegations on the same 7 charges. We're at 14 this morning and still counting.

If this goes to trial.....for the women coming forward, I really hope their wasn't evidence of multiple visits permitted with this described sexual deviant.

this was exactly what I was interested in in my post above. And I was serious. He seems to have a fixation on a certain part of the body that psychologists for what ever reason trace back to toilet training. That induces a certain character type that can lead to his type of addiction in some, I guess. But he does have an addiction and I was just wondering if a character coach could even fix it If that was JE’s role.

Houston Texans QB Deshaun Watson called 'serial predator' in lawsuit No. 14 alleging sexual assault and inappropriate conduct
9:30 AM CT

HOUSTON -- A 14th lawsuit alleging sexual assault and inappropriate conduct was filed against Deshaun Watson by a woman who says she believes the Houston Texans quarterback is a "serial predator."

The lawsuit, which was filed Monday night and appeared on the Harris County District Clerk's website Tuesday morning, alleges that Watson "assaulted and harassed Plaintiff by exposing himself to her and touching her with his penis."

The incident allegedly took place in California, just the second of the 14 allegations to take place outside the Houston area.

The traveling massage therapist alleges that when she arrived at the address Watson gave her, he led her to a room and "locked the doors behind him." After Watson allegedly "forced Plaintiff's hand onto his penis" during the massage, he allegedly told her, "I will not have you sign a NDA but don't ever talk about this."

The plaintiff also alleges that Watson reached out on Instagram in December "acting as if nothing had happened."

He may have been abused when he was younger. I think I read when his mom was diagnosed with cancer friends and family would have to help out while his mom was getting treatment. You never really know.

Vince Young’s mom for example didn’t set the best example early on. A lot of these players as we know can have not so privileged backgrounds.

People can have complicated lives.

Or Watson could just be sick.

Either way I agree a character coach may be limited and professional help is needed.

The part where he brings up the NDA is a little weird. Who says that?

Dabo Swinney on Deshaun Watson: “We are disappointed to see his name in the news and all that is going on”

“But all I can tell you is that I have known Deshaun since he was in the ninth grade. And that he has been nothing but exemplary in every area that I have ever known him in. Three years here, as a player, I think I had a chance to yell at him one time because he was five minutes late to a team meeting that he overslept for. And that is it. That is the Deshaun I know. I can only base my thought on my experiences with him, which have been wonderful. Again, I love him like a son and we will just have to see where everything else goes from there.”

Agree, DW4's problems may have begun when his support system subsided and his bank account swelled (4 years ago.). At this point I would bet that DW4 gets a MINIMUM 6 game suspension from the NFL. Especially since the NFL is making a concerted effort to include women in officiating, coaching, ownership and many other phases of the game.

Well... it's possible. I like how Sweeney answered the question though. Basing his thoughts on the young man he spent three years with.

He doesn't "suppose" Watson is guilty/innocent. He doesn't minimize the accusers experience.

We'll just have to wait & see.

I never listen to HOU sports talk radio but I did today and the guys I was listening to had McClain on and he said he now won’t be traded even by the draft. McClain is all over the place. He just said days ago he’s going to be traded.
What an utter fustercluck.

I don't know why people ask him those type of questions as if he knows. I doubt Caserio knows what's going to happen as there's a lot beyond his control.

Then I don't know why McClain answers as if he does know.

Things have kind of changed in the last few days...No team will want to trade for him until the law/NFL/lawsuit reach an outcome, and that won't happen in the next few weeks.

To your point. I know Watson received a huge signing bonus of $25 million? When you think of his current lifestyle (e.g., cars, homes, vacations), if he has to pay six figure settlements in the civil cases, fees to Hardin and his firm, all of a sudden, his expenses could take a huge chunk out of that signing bonus.

Just cannot believe a kid grows up poor, has all of his dreams come true, becomes wealthy beyond his wildest dreams, is set for life and then allows himself to get into this situation and burns everything to the ground. His mother must be going through hell right now.

If he's lucky all he will have to do is give way his bonus and not do jail time.

I dont feel sorry for anybody on DW4's side of this case.

There is no justification for his alleged actions, but in an attempt to comprehend it, I'm wondering if his behavior is a so-called 'cultural norm' in the same way that fighting dogs was a 'cultural norm' for Mike Vick.

The inherent problem with pampered athletes in our society is they are rarely held accountable when they are young, so bad behavior and bad examples become normal to them until they reach the professional level where the scrutiny is much greater and their opportunities much broader with the influx of money and fame.

I'm wondering if Swinney is like O'Brien in turning the other cheek to the personal side of a player's life when they can bring so much glory to the teams they coach. There is an inherent conflict of interest in holding your star QB accountable.

If these accusations are true, I'm having a hard time believing that NONE of his coaches had any idea of what their star athlete was up to in his free time.

One part of the filing that the woman claimed he said to her that stood out to me "I've never had a woman tell me no before." Now let me say that I am fully aware that we do not know if he said that and yes we are only getting one side of the story. So, disclaimer done, if he really did say that then it is showing a fundamental mental issue in that he has never had been rejected and I'm sure it got worse the older and more famous he got. Before all this came out one theory I had of why he wanted out of Houston is that in his entire time playing football on any kind of national level he has never truly lost. Clemson got beat but even then they came in second place and were still one of the top teams. Even the Texans, yeah they didn't get far but it was still winning seasons and they still were in the hunt. Watson never had a "4-12 season" type of situation.

I'm wondering now if that theory still has merit and is in fact reinforced by this, again if its true. A person getting rejected or not having women throw themselves at him, a person having to realize that no matter what he does it not enough, add in to that getting a pay day that sets you for life at just 25 and yeah I'm starting to see how all these things could change a person or at least bring out the absolute worst and darkest parts of a person. To your point DB I also believe that he has been shielded from and consequences of any actions. The way people have described him was almost a saint. I'm not saying he was a bad kid or anything like that but some of the descriptions were not very realistic either.

Yeah, I get that. He just has been making blanket statements lately such as Watson will be traded and soon, and now he knows nothing. It’s just funny watching him all over the place. He clearly has no inside info whatsoever.

Well in the General's defense DW4 did throw the NFL and Texans a massive curve ball and changed the whole dynamics of the situation from where it was only two one week ago.

Nope, ownership just screwed up by not trading him when Hopkins was traded. They knew some of this stuff was going on. There will be a price to be paid for putting ticket sales above doing the right thing.

Should have taken out the Clemson trash in one fell swoop.
I don't think Watson was demanding to be traded at that time.

Saw PFTs Mike Florio this morning who was also a practicing attorney for 17 years before getting into his current occupation with PFT.
Anyway he wonders why is Buzzbutt the only lawyer we are seeing in on this potential feast of DW4s financial assets ?
In other words why are all of the plaintiffs lining up with a single lawyer, i.e., how come we aren't seeing others come in for some of this action, this feeding frenzy of sharks in the water, as each plaintiff can hire any lawyer she chooses to rep her who's licensed in Texas.

Buzzbe, imho, worked this case to have as many as possible. He didn’t file and wait for these women to call in.

He held a seminar at the Ritz Carrollton with these women to get introduction to friends like it was an Amway meeting.

In his update video from last Friday he is asking women to call him.

Dude is playing 3D chess while Watson is like:

Florio is trying to CYA, he was the one that "broke" the story of Watson wanting traded and how bad everything was with the Texans. Now its looking like his inside sources left a few things out so he's trying to still spin it back on the Texans and Buzbee.

Just for clarification, Mike Florio was a lawyer but gave up the profession to cover football. He is the founder and owner of PFT. You may already know this, but the way it reads I thought I'd offer some clarity.

Florio is trying to CYA, he was the one that "broke" the story of Watson wanting traded and how bad everything was with the Texans. Now its looking like his inside sources left a few things out so he's trying to still spin it back on the Texans and Buzbee.

I've watched Florio's coverage and he's just pointing out that it is odd to have all plaintiffs going through one lawyer. In past cases with other high profile defendants, there were multiple lawyers involved representing different plaintiffs. He's also not a fan of Buzbee's sensational style of media manipulation, but he figures that's about putting pressure on Watson to settle this out of court as soon as possible.

Florio has been very adamant that the Texans were not involved in any sort of conspiracy to smear Watson. It makes no logical sense and the potential penalties much too stiff to even consider such a tactic (plus I just don't see Caserio & Easterby doing something like that, all things considered).

If it was about hiring prostitutes, maybe your point would hold more meaning. Watson certainly has the money to seek that out.

But hiring hot IG “masseuses” and trying to force things to happen is not in the same zip code as giving someone $20 for Morehead St.
I see what you did there, good job! Nice play on words.
If you add 51 & 7 you get 58, which you divide by Watsons number (4) and you get 14.5. The "4" in 14.5 simply indicates Watson's ID, so you drop the 4 and the decimal point and you have 15, which is the number of lawsuits so far.
@Thorn, can i have some of what you’re having? I’m retired now too!

And I wonder how many college girls from his time at Clemson will come forward?

He can say that with absolute certainty because the league wouldn't approve the trade with the potential criminal cases hanging in the balance because he will never play another down if he is convicted of just one criminal case.
