Roll call of those going up to Baltimore

I can come down but the ticket prices are kinda high. But if someone sees/has tickets anywhere that are a decent price let me know. If there's another single (no I'm not looking for a relationship-LOL) who sees two tickets I'm willing (again depending on price) to join in.

By the way, I'm flying into DCA and I decided to stay in DC. I got a really good deal on airbnb.com. If you've never heard of it or used it, read the reviews of each place and click "entire home" to rent out the whole space.

Okay, friends decided to go and take both tickets. So I looked on eBay and there are plenty of singles going pretty low. One auction today is for ROW TWO section 129 for $275 with Buy it now of $325! Ends tonight. I'd take that one and go Buy it Now!

I sent you a PM - I'm in a pretty similar boat.

Hey Guys, long time reader, but finally signed up. I'm flying up there and we are a crew of about 14. We've got a bunch flying in and several who are living in the area. Tickets are all in hand and we are ready to support the Good Guys.

If anyone is open for us let me know, we'd love to meet up with some Texans fans. 'Preciate ya. Go Texans!

We're heading up Saturday. Sitting in Section 103 row 4 for $300 each. We will have 6 in our group but we are all sitting separate in pairs of 2. United still has flights for 299 round trp leaving Saturday morning and returning Monday morning. Let me know of any meeting places in Baltimore for Texans fans. I saw people are tailgaing in lot O. Can anyone confirm if that is still on?

Most events will be taking place in and around the Inner Harbor area, which is near the Stadium (about a mile). If not walkable, should be a short cab ride. We're working out stuff for Friday, Saturday and Sunday, whatever folks can attend.

Sounds like Saturday we will be packing a bar with about 50 or so Texans fans.

To be informed follow Step Stradley on twitter or join the Facebook group we created

I am going to put a blog post of instructions for Texans fan meeting/rally places. I will update it through the time I leave on the trip.

On the trip, I will be putting last second Texans fans in Baltimore information on my Twitter account. @StephStradley

You will need to follow @StephStradley and @HoustonTexans because I will address all my Tweets to @HoustonTexans fans so my non-Texans followers won't be getting them.

Looks like Luckie's in Power Plant is the place to be for Saturday's games. We have a private bar and a reservation for 50 under "Houston Texans". See you there!

Glad I found ya'll!! Booked all my tickets along with 3 of my other friends who are also die hard season ticket holders. In Baltimore we are sitting in sec 153 row 2. Thats right on the 45-50 yd line, 2 rows behind the Texans bench!!!

Unfortunately 1 of my buddies might not be able to go. so his misfortune could be somebody's fortune. I just want exactly what i paid for them which is $790 each, if you are looking for tickets u will see that these prices are a steal compared to $1100 each. only have 1 ticket available. TEXANS FANS ONLY. u will be sitting right next to us and we are gonna help bring home a victory so get ready to get loud! if anyone is interested please pm me. please dont make me sell this ticket to a ravens fan. GO TEXANS!

I was there severeal years ago and not too far from the stadium is a giant ESPN zone type restaurant bar I think, I liked it and it was hug and could be a good place for a party!

Okay, looks like ZDeac10 and I will be getting some tickets!!!

Looking now! I can't wait. This will be my second Texans game-Hope it's as exciting and the result is the same as my last game (Texans/Skins last year).

I'm locked in for section 141. They were $200 each on ticketexchange which is the best I've seen so I had to jump on it. After the $30 fee for each ticket it came to be about $465 for 2

I just heard on the radio, that some Texans fans are wearing battle red jerseys instead of liberty white at the game. Have the traveling fans decided on this already? It would be cool if we could all co-ooordinate. Let me please know....need to go to dry cleaners tomorrow. GO TEXANS!

I believe RED is the color for this game! Seems like that's what the fans on the Facebook page are planning to wear anyway.

I put the Battle Red plan on Twitter last night, and spread the word among media types.

If you got the red, wear it. And make sure you dress warm. Those durn fools don't have a roof. :)

We will be wearing red. Just bought super warm thermals at Academy. And we plan to see y'all at Luckys on Saturday! Is that still the main gathering spot?

On the J&R show today on 610 AM, Rich Lord said that the Texans are asking those of us going to the game in Baltimore to wear BATTLE RED. He said because the Deep Steel Blue doesn't stand out from Ravens purple. I'm taking my JJ Watt and Brian Cushing Battle Red jerseys with me. I'm leaning toward wearing Cush's jersey

These guys listen to us. I am bringing my husbands oversized Mario Red Jersey, so I can fit lots of layers under it.

I'm wearing a #80 RED jersey I've worn one time! Not much on wearing jerseys that rep just one player, but, if I'm gonna do it I can't think of anyone better to rep. I bought it when we went to NO and everyone was wearing red. I'll definitely be in BATTLE RED mode! Maybe when our players see such a huge contingent of fans it'll ignite a spark that will help take them to victory!!

Well I am going but I don't have any Battle Red Jerseys. I guess I can wear a liberty white jersey and red longsleeve underneath. I will do my part and cheer on the Texans! See Ya'll Saturday! PM me if ya'll have any plans on Saturday.
Section 511
Row 24
Seats 13 and 14

Does everyone have battle red towels? Those would stand out well. Just watching Inside the NFL and noticing how all the Steeler Terrible Towels stood out in that Broncos crowd....

You guys and gals probably thought of this already:
Spread the words out to the media so that we can see you on TV (wherever you are, the bar for example, not just at the game.)
TC should be able to pull some string.

Also we are staying at the Sheraton City...booked through PriceLine name your own price and that's what we got. Probably not what I would have picked on my own but got it for $65. We just booked one night with a plan to stay in Philly and DC the other two nights that we'll be there. Maybe...still deciding.

Hate to break it to ya, but it's closed.

Plenty of other bars in the Fells Point area, just around the corner from the old ESPN Zone.

Hello Texans Fans!

First, let me say I am enjoying the boards. You guys here seem like top notch fans. Well Done!

I am a transplant, having grown up in Baltimore and moved to Houston 6 years ago. I have adopted the Texans as my "second team" and had it not been for my Ravens being in your way, I'd be rooting for them right along side you.

If I may, I wanted to give you folks some advice when you make your trip to Baltimore.

1. Get ready to walk. There is a reason it's nicknamed Smalltimore. It's not like in Houston where going to the next neighborhood requires a 10-15 minute drive. Everything is within walking distance, or a very short cab ride.

2. Speaking of cabs, stick to Yellow Cab if at all possible. The city of Baltimore does a poor job with the cab enforcement. Yellow Cab does a good job policing themselves. The other cab companies will try and gouge you (not turning on meter, haggling a price, try and charge add-ons, etc) so be careful.

3. Avoid Harborplace (and Powerplant). If being a tourist is your thing and you're looking for the Gallery, only smaller and next to the water, then I suppose this is your place. It is possible to get a feel of the city and it's in the surrounding neighborhoods -- Fells Point (my old home and personal favorite), Canton, Federal Hill, Little Italy -- these are the places you want to explore if you want great food, a fun atmosphere, etc. I read some of you are going to meet up at Powerplant. Meh. You should expect popped collars, dudes wearing smedium Affliction shirts and very few over the age of 25. Maybe it's a good spot to meet, but go a few blocks south and east and you're in Fells Point.

4. If the weather says it's 40 that day, plan on it feeling like 30-35. The city sits next to a body of water that whips up the wind. Also, most of the stadium sits in the shade for most of the game.

If anyone has any questions, feel free to ask! I am making the trip as well and cannot wait for Sunday!

Almost forgot ....

5. If you find yourself west of Russell Street, turn around. Quickly. You're basically on the set of The Wire and unless you have some yellow tops you plan on selling, you're in the wrong hood.

Getting a ticket for the game will not be a problem for, but the flight prices right now are ridiculous. Any other option?

Wish I could help.

I just got my flight right before the rush. Have you tried flights into Reagan National? It's only 45 minutes south of Baltimore in DC.

She's already been contacted by the Texans and they know where we will be. She's gonna also be posting on twitter where we all are hanging.
Should be a great time!!

GO TEXANS!!!

Def thanks for the advice! Lol @ popped collars and smedium shirts!

No specific sports bar recommendations?

Depends on what you desire and where you're staying.

Max's on Broadway (or simply Max's) is my personal favorite -- tons of craft / local beers, 25-30 HD TV', etc. it's in Fells Point.

Mother's in Federal Hill is popular but that's a better place to go before the game.

Where are you staying? Do you prefer low key or mad house?

Most bars in Baltimore double as pretty damn good restaurants so if you want excellent food to go with your bar experience, that narrows it down as well.

HoustonRaven you are a good dude and like what I've seen from your fellow fans on the Ravens board.

My brother recommended a place called Chaps that has a beef sandwich he said was awesome. Is that close to the Inner Harbor

HoustonRaven I have a question for you. On the Mighty Gwinnett show on 790AM here in town, the host Dylan Gwinn really ragged on your hometown saying its the skid mark of the US and the only things there are crab cakes and strip clubs. The host was born and raised in D.C.

I was just wondering if there was a Dallas-Houston type of rivalry where the people in each city hate the other town. Also, do Ravens fans dislike the Redskins like we dislike the Cowboys even though we rarely play them.

Who in the world was that couple that is on 610??? They cashed in their kids college fund to go to the Baltimore game...

I was just wondering where you were. Are you coming out to the game??

I think you're the only one on here I've met in person so far.
