Roll call of those going up to Baltimore

Flying from GSP in s.carolina to DCA for $230
Got a single ticket in section 546 for $236
Have lodging arrangements with friends
Just Looking to hang out with texans fans to tailgate before the game and maybe after....

My buddy and I are heading that way Saturday morning. Air/Hotel/Tickets all taken care of...we are amped up! Staying at the Hyatt....sitting in section 111. Go Texans 1-0!

Interesting thread from Ravens fans with an appearance of someone you know on pg 4.

Thread makes for good reading for people who are going to the game.

Having just moved away from the Baltimore area I can totally vouch for the thread's recommendation of G&M as a great crab cake place. A local institution and it is bigger than it looks; it will be crowded for lunches and dinners but they move people through pretty well. They also have a carry out/quick service counter on the property that may be a good option if you have a lot of people in your crew. Desserts rock there too, but I doubt you'll have room for them.

Man, this is killing me to think how close I lived to that place and now I can't get there for the first road playoff game! Have fun y'all.

Yup I concur. When I was looking right before the game ended it was like $470. It's over $900 now. Never saw anything in the $350 range

The crazy thing is I was able to use frequent flyer miles last night, and got the "cheap" miles flights, 12,500 per leg. Hubby's business travel comes thru ftw!!!

Wife and I are going. Looking to see where fellow fans are sitting so we can get tickets near near other Texan fans.

I see section 144, 111 where else?

I won't be able to swing tickets to the game but if a group can't get tickets and decide to hold up somewhere in Balt to watch the game post here and I might be able to drive down on Sunday a.m. and watch. It'd be nice to be around some other Texans fans.

I wish I was going up there with you guys......I did not have the money.......good luck and rep the Texan fans well......Go Texans.....

I found some decent fares on airfarewatchdog.com to DC

It brings up different search engines (cheapair, kayak, orbitz, hotwire, etc.)

Thinking of just booking the Hilton near the stadium.. for some reason intercont.. was $165 yesterday and now is $209.... so my just go with the hilton for the points... any suggestions??

Long time lurker here but it's time to come out of the shadows. I grew up in Houston and attended almost every game through 2005, before heading off to college. Now I live/work in D.C. and only make it home to Houston for one or two games a season.

But, with the Texans coming up to Baltimore I'll be taking the opportunity to come up and get in on the playoff fun. Very excited about it. Couldn't find a friend willing to make the trip with me, so I'm coming up on a train Sunday morning by myself and will definitely be looking for Texans fans to meet up with. It looks like there may be a tailgate coming together but no one seems to have any firm plans posted in the thread - is that happening via PM? I'd love to join in the fun, let me know.

:bender: My wife and I are making the short trip from Virginia Beach to Baltimore Saturday. Where is everyone going to be watching the Saturday game at? It would be cool to hang out with some Texans fans. :bender:

A lot of folks are staying at the Ren. Inner Harbor. I think it is a Marriot.

That's where we're staying. It's a short walk to the stadium and the locals say it's pretty much an ideal location.

After careful consideration my wife and I decided against buying tickets to the game. I may regret it years from now but in the short run it's the right thing to do.

Definitely fill me in on where the tailgating will be or whatever other place everyone is meeting up around Baltimore (those who aren't going to the game).

Me too!! I would be more than happy to make the 3 hour drive down to hang with some Texans fans!!

I'm flying into DC Friday night, renting a car and driving to Baltimore(about an hour drive). The Rockets are in DC Monday afternoon, anybody wanna join me??

I have an extra pair of tickets for sale! I won an auction for 4 tickets section 117 row 31 on the Ravens entry tunnel (so we can heckle!). I only needed two tic for the wife and I but the pairs were selling for more. So PM me if interested. I should have them in hand on Thursday. Not looking to make profit, just to sell what I don't need and to get more Texans fans in that stadium!

For those needing airfare. I found round trip for $199 per person. Same fare today. AirTran from Hobby to IAD Washington DC Dulles. Departs Saturday, returns Tuesday.

I still need to book hotel and rental car.

I am staying at the Hilton too. It is a new hotel less than half a mile from the stadium. Works for me. I will be getting in after 5 on Saturday and getting on the last Continental flight back to Houston. Will be in Bmore for basically just 24 hours. This is a business trip. Go in, get the win and fly home. :)

Will you sell one ticket to me?

Sure, as long as I have a buyer for the other ticket, I'm cool. I paid $1K, so just asking $250 per ticket. I think face value is around $140. I thought this was a pretty good deal for 117 row 31 on the player entry tunnel.

Really wanted to be on that Texans sideline but the pairs in the lower rows were going for $800+ today.

I'll take it! I can meet you up in Houston anytime before Friday! Let me know when if someone else will take the other ticket and when it becomes available. Call/Text 281-323-1841 -Anthony

Will do. I'll let you know as soon as I have the tickets in hand.

By the way, I'm flying into DCA and I decided to stay in DC. I got a really good deal on airbnb.com. If you've never heard of it or used it, read the reviews of each place and click "entire home" to rent out the whole space.

I'm also coming up to the game from DC as a single. Still working on ticket options. I had been planning to go upper deck and keep it under $200, but sitting with other Texans fans in the lower deck for $250 is tempting, but a bit of a budget breaker. Let me think about it, I may be able to take that 4th one.

Im looking to go as a single as well. Gotta talk the honey into letting me go solo, cant afford both of us! Anyone know if the Holiday Inn/Inner Harbor is ok? It says it's right across the street from Camden yards. And from what I gather, M & T is right there as well.

Can't speak for the hotel itself but that area is fine. Camden and M&T are side by side. The entire inner harbor area is in walking distance. It will be cold those days so dress warm, high of 37 for the day.
