Ravens @ Texans AAR

He's mentally weak is my point and this isn't saying I'm thinking Slowik should keep his job. Film or no film, there are receivers open and Stroud's been missing them.

BTW, I'm just not into mentally weak people. People who are at the top of their fields generally can keep their emotions in check. Imagine a guy like CnD performing surgery on you and being as mentally weak as CJ is.
Stop it, one more of these irrelevant posts and I'm going to reach out to 76Texan to come back and troll you for 3 months.

I want to see yall get out there and take those type of hits on a regular.
It's not up to us to take these hits. We don't have the talent and aren't getting paid generational wealth to take them. It's up to CJ to take those hits like Burrow, Stafford etc... because those are the guys he's competing for championships against. Or hopefully winning a championship is like a fire burning in his gut because that's what will allow him to stand in there and take those hits.

BTW, believe me brother I've had my d--k knocked in the dirt.

Exactly! So who are us to say they’re mentally weak? To play at that level you know darn well they’re not mentally weak like that.

Some are mentally weaker than others.

Dealing with pressure was a knock on Stroud coming out of college.

I'm not saying he cant overcome this weakness, but he's going to have to put in a lot of work to overcome his case of happy feet. Some have been able to overcome happy feet, most have not.

He was not dealing with this type of pressure in college. He was not getting hit as much either. So that report was straight up crap. Not too many quarterbacks can take that many hits and not feel the heat even when it’s not there. Like I said let me see you under that type of duress.

Or it actually proves the scouting report to be true. No he was not taking those hits in college. However, this year he is facing legit pressure for the first time and hasn’t really handled it well:

And he still never won a big game in college.

Like I said before show me the money.

He has won plenty big time college games. Lol you tripping now.
He had the best WR corps and multiple 1st rd picks on the OL. Did he ever beat Michigan? Did he ever play for a NC despite being on teams that were some of the most talented teams in the country? Or was that on coaching too? What big games has he won?

Reckon they should just trade Stroud now to get draft capital to move up and select Carson Beck :mcnugget:

I'm not saying this at all, but he does need to growup.

You know my theory on QB's if they dont look like the guy who can win a championship after 3 yrs it's time to move on and even if they win a championship after yr 7 or 8 you let them walk due to cap space.

The root cause to what we’re seeing today all started with the horrendous offensive line play earlier this season
Hard to argue. I don't think anyone is arguing that.
They saw the Texans couldn’t stop simple stunts.
& Cj couldn't do anything about it. Lamar Jackson, Pat Mahomes, Joe Burrow, Josh Allen... still dangerous behind crappy OLs.
I don’t see us fixing those many issues in 2 weeks
We don't need to. Cj needs to man up. He can make Bobby Slowik look like Andy Reid.

I didn’t see CJ’s confidence hit the crapper coming into this season….nor did anyone else for that matter.

CJ’s musical feet and frustration didn’t arrive until several games into the season or when it became evident that Caserio, Ryans, Slowick, and Strausser were content with the current OL, and didn’t seem to be in any hurry to make changes.

CJ’s confidence began waning when the same OL starters were not replaced and Mixon went down, thus negating the run game.

There was a boatload of factors that played a massive role in Slowick’s offense going into the schitter.

Sure, top QB’s have played behind some marginal OL’s, but that weakness is typically covered up by the OC b/c he’s much better at reducing the impact of that weak area.

Sure KC’s OL is somewhat better than the current Texans OL, but the primary difference in the end results….Reid calling his offense is light years ahead of Slowick calling the Texans.

I'm not saying different. I'm not arguing the playcalling is good.

When he's under pressure Cj needs to play better than he has been lately. He needs to make better decisions. That's all I'm saying.

It’s hard to understand how an offense can get so much worse in just one year, especially when the players haven’t really changed. In fact, the team even added some upgrades during the offseason. While Slowik’s poor game planning is an obvious issue, it feels like there’s something deeper going on with the players themselves.

Could it be that they’ve lost confidence in the coaching staff or their team leaders? If they don’t trust the system or the people leading them, that can mess with their focus and effort. Even great players can struggle when they don’t believe in what they’re doing or don’t feel fully supported.

This might not just be about bad play-calling. It could be mental. If the team isn’t on the same page or feels disconnected, it can lead to hesitation, mistakes, and a lack of energy on the field. Fixing this isn’t just about changing the plays—it’s about rebuilding trust, motivation, and belief in the team as a whole.

It's been pointed out that Cj S2roud made Slowik look good last season. Cj S2roud made the OL look good last season. Cj S2roud made Noah Brown, Robert Woods, & Dalton Schultz look good.

Cj needs to take another step. Doesn't seem Jerrod Johnson & Bobby Slowik are up to the challenge.

CJ made everybody look good last yr. This yr everybody's making CJ look bad. Is this the narrative this yr?

Or Stroud just needs to play best he can and those positions he made look good in 2023 but didn't step up this season, or not expected to return need to be replaced.

Slowik replace.
Diggs replace.
Tank Dell replace.
Howard replace by 6/1 cut
Mason 6!1 cut
Tunsil replaced IF right deal

I don't think it's one thing you can point to. It's lot of things including expectations. Last year the sights were set low because of coming off a team that battled for the #1 pick in the draft the last day of the season. This year expectations were high with many expecting a SB contender or an AFCG at least. But this team may meet that same 10 wins they surprised us with and after facing a much tougher schedule. So yeah point fingers at coaching and the OL and Stroud too. And point fingers at the talking heads and the fan base too.
