I'm yet to be sold on any of the NT prospects this draft, when/where Texans select. The prospects with elite size/speed combos tend to get overdrafted based on potential, I would like to shy away from those instead focus on this years Mike Martin.
Have to agree with Wolf6151 in regards to Barwin comments making another OLB highly doubtful, but Jordan is talented pick.
Micah Hyde woiuld be Glover Quinn's back-up. Like player but not looking for depth this early.
Alvin Bailey is the top ranked underclassman OG if he is still there, heck yeah that would be stealing 1st rd. talent from next years crop.
I was hoping you would take WR earlier, like my guy Marquess Wilson, WSU. But doubt Marcus Davis is here this late either, both will probably be 2nd rd. picks which is where Texans may address position of need.
Stoneburner would be a good pick this late, maybe? I really want Alabama TE Michael Williams for his blocking on the line to shade either Tackle. If there is a weakness on this current offensive team its a pure blocking TE. I think it's even possible with Williams size he could become a back-up LT in emergency situations which adds value to his stock (3rd rd.).
Intriguing prospect with ILB Andrew Jackson, great size for position. Haven't watched him on film so will take your word, if he can come into camp & compete at minimum displace Mister Alexander then I'm sold.
Not fan of Armstrong. Any idea where the Honey Badger goes?
With last pick this year I'm going with an undersized LB who could flip inside in coverage & speed packages, a football player with nose for the football, like Oregon LB Michael Clay. Follow in the steps of fellow Duck Eddie Pleasant who should have got the call up when Demps went down IMO.
