watched this guy play early and was impressed. Forgot all about him.Burdette led the nation with 157 total tackles (including assists.)
Here's why:
http://m.youtube.com/#/watch?v=vJyvUJX9Y_o&desktop_uri=%2Fwatch%3Fv%3DvJyvUJX9Y_o
The guy is really quick; he can blow up blocks or shed off blocks to make play.
I say make him a FB; we have plenty of comp picks.
Birders tallied 12 tackles at the Casino Del Sol All Star game.
I don't know how much he played. There's a video on YouTube out there.
I might just pull up the full tape to see how many snaps he was in.
http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/blog/r...on-prospects-shine-rb-ellington-still-injuredDeAndre Hopkins, who improved his 40-yard dash time and looked impressive catching the ball during drills.
Hopkins ran a 4.57 at the combine but improved that number on Thursday with times in the 4.4's and low 4.5's. As expected, he stood out during catching drills, receiving passes from former quarterback and Clemson assistant Joe Craddock. Hopkins did nothing to hurt his chances of being one of the first wide receivers off the board, possibly in the top 32 picks.

Anybody knows about his play?
Big, fast guy with frame to grow it seems?
I know Moore wishes he had them numbers .![]()
Sio Moore?
I like him.
Damontre Moore
TE Lucas Reed (Brooks Reed's brother) looks good in catching drills; DeAndre Hopkins (Clemson) did likewise.
*DT Spencer Nealy was the star of the show. While his workout was okay, his comedic timing was amazing. Nealy had guys like "Mean" Joe Green, Dennis Allen and Rex Ryan chuckling at some of his commentary during workouts, including when he tripped and fell over a blocking dummy and screamed out "f@ck*ing chop block!"

Mississippi Pro Day Notes: That's not a typo. Ole Miss has a draft prospect named Terrell Brown who is nearly 400 pounds. Brown's arms were a ridiculously long 38 inches. (at 6'10)
22 reps with 38-inch arm is pretty ridiculous.

I live in nm and used to do a little bit of writing for a local lobo site. I've watched every one of his games that kid is an absolute steal, fantastic hands with regular highlight reel one handed circus catches. Sneaky fast and a good route runner. Will take a hit and has no fear going across the middle. Played in an offense that in his senior year threw the ball a grand total of 154 times in 13 games usually in third an 25 situations. Played his entire career under the historically inept offensive coaching of mike locksley. Look at his sophomore campaign that was the only time that he had a qb (4 different ones that year) who wasn't off the d3 scrap pile. Third team all American as a freshmen.
Hugely underrated. Absolute steal that could be grabbed in the 6-udfa. I have posted a couple of times about this kid already.

I'm assuming that means he was good at blocking and that was his main function in that offense. Would I be correct? If so, then that would be even better because I think a good blocking TE is what the Texans will be looking for. Does anyone know if the Texans had any scouts/coaches there at his Pro-Day?

Please tell me I was the one who turned you on to Sio Moore (dreams and wishes)
UNM 2010 season highlights. Lucas is #97.

All MWC TE in 2010, Two time John Mackey award candidate, John Mackey TE of the week---November 06 2010. Two time All American, 3rd team as a Freshman, and 2nd team as a Sophomore (also Honorable Mention over all TE by Scout--CFN) SC top ten play of the MONTH for November 2010. Kid's problem has not been being able to play. Kid's problem has been OC's and terrible coaching.
I just watched the UT game. Reed was pretty good in blocking...
Michigan Pro Day Notes: Denard Robinson worked out as a running back at Michigan's Pro Day. It appears as though that'll be his next position at the next level. He raised his stock with his impressive workout.
Grade: 3rd-5th
Bigger than Barner, and as explosive (more or less.)
A prospect to note for the 4th - 6th round range.
S Bradley McDougald
Height: 6-0
Weight: 211
40-yard dash: 4.49
20-yard shuttle: 4.31
60-yard shuttle: 11.78
Vertical: 33 inches
Broad jump: N/A
3-cone drill: N/A
Bench Press: N/A
Here is a kid with some interesting numbers but he never did anything with them. Was recruited to Florida and ND as a fullback (where some people think he'll play in the NFL) but KU gave him at shot as a RB so he signed. He was switched to DE then to OLB then to a Hybrid last season. Played for 3 HC's so I can't really say what his potential is. I was never overly impressed with him on the field in the sense that he didn't stand out (on a terrible defense) very often, but still, the numbers make you think for a second.
DE/LB/FB Toben Opurum
Height: 6-1
Weight: 249
40-yard dash: 4.61
20-yard shuttle: 4.34
60-yard shuttle: 11.77
Vertical: 34.5 inches
Broad jump: 10-4
3-cone drill: 7.28
Bench Press: 24 reps
A run prototypical 3-4 DE who should get some camp invites. He transferred from Nebraska to play a 5th year. A solid player, a rotation guy at best, but there is some potential.
DE Josh Williams
Height: 6-4
Weight: 257
40-yard dash: 4.84
20-yard shuttle: 4.60
60-yard shuttle: N/A
Vertical: 29.5 inches
Broad jump: 9-7
3-cone drill: 7.93
Bench Press: 18 reps
Finally, a guy who is a very good mid-round OT target. 4 year starter and Freshman All-American. Played for 3 HC's so nothing has been consistent. Very athletic at an ideal size with lots of Big XII experience. He'll be drafted, so someone to at least put on your radar on the last two days.
OL Tanner Hawkinson
Height: 6-5
Weight: 298

60-yard shuttle: N/A
Vertical: N/A
Broad jump: N/A

Here is a link to a story, mostly about McDougald, but that lists some other kids and is where the numbers were from. McDougald and Hawkinson also competed in the combine, so they also have an additional set of measurements available.
As always, Rock Chalk.
Oh, and I'll be at the KC game this coming season if any of y'all are making the trip. I'll be tailgating with some Texan fans (and some Chiefs).
I've studied them both but still much prefer Jonathan Franklin, UCLA. He is exceptional both in run blocking, catching out of the backfield & has a sincere passion for the game (joy). Would be much cheaper too, drafting him than resigning Forsett. Tate is up in the air going into contract year with injury plagued first couple seasons.

YTF, I don't see the link! Is it hiding somewhere?![]()
Reed has blown up now. Cosell has him compared to Patriots Aaron Hernandez.
I saw one mock that had him in the 2nd round. [IMGwidthsize=50]http://www.texanstalk.com/forums/images/smilies/toropalm.gif[/IMG]
