Official TexansTalk NFL 2010 Mock Draft

Sounds good, let's move ahead to round 2 (of 3 rounds), here are the ground rules:

1.) Only 6 hours to make a selection, once time expires the TTalk members will vote/choose the pick...NO EXCEPTIONS!

2.) PM me your picks if you cannot make it.

3.) I will NOT be notifying individuals when they are up, it's your responsibility to check and make sure.

This should be good for now...

I would recommend giving people a little more time if there are picks made overnight. Example, if a pick is made at 11pm the next one would be due at 5am. Prime sleepy time :)

Something like the clock stops at 11 CT (12 ET) and starts up again at 8 CT (9 ET)?

This sounds good. Plus, a lot of us don't log in over weekends and it'll be hard to determine players that might be available that far in advance.

I think what we could do , is have a group start at 8:00 pm on a Fri or Sat night and go until ... say ... midnight ... as many rounds as we can go with folks staying on the board .

I assume this is right.

Thanks again to Super Mario for help, if yall' can't make it plz PM me so we can make things go smoother.

I think last year we sent a pm with 3 players in order of preference when we were a couple of picks away . That made things a lot quicker .

With the last pick in the 1st round the NO Saints take Terrance Cody, NT from the Univ of Alabama. Big TC gives the Saints a space eater in the middle of their defense. They thought about Carlos Dunlap/DE, Navorro Bowman/LB, Patrick Robinson/CB and Chad Jones/S, but settled on the big man.

Not a bad pick but I'd have gone for Chad Jones, they need some S help and he's going to be a good one.

The first round is done.

Okay, the second round will start at 8 AM Central Time on Saturday with:

33) St. Louis - pbat488

34) Detroit - Kaiser Toro

35) Tampa Bay - steelbtexan

36) Kansas City - jgl35

Only 6 hours to make your pick!

Does pbat488 know he's on the clock and there's only an hour left? Do yall want to discuss possible picks for St. Louis? I have no idea what they need but as bad as they are they probably need everything.

Maybe Everson Griffin or Jermaine Gresham

I notified pbat488 (maybe a little late) but like I said it was up to each person to PM their picks to me or to show up and draft.

We can start a discussion and come to a consensous (sry for the spelling) and pick for him.

I think they need help on there offensive line, defense, and they badly need a go-to WR.

Here's my ranking in terms of need:

1.) DE

2.) CB

3.) WR

4.) OG

5.) LB

With the 33rd pick in the 2010 Texan's Talk Mock Draft, the St. Louis Rams select

Demaryius Thomas, WR, Georgia Tech

Reasoning: I know I didn't select a QB with the first pick, but I feel that at this point this pick is great value. This guy has all the tools to be a very good WR in the NFL. His offense at Tech held back his development as a WR, but with some time and working with one of the better young WRs in the league in Avery, he can hopefully reach his tremendous potential.

As per Kaiser Toro, the Detroit Lions select, in the 2nd round,...

Jon Asamoah, OG

The Lions need a left guard, and they need someone to help Jeff Backus in pass rush situations. Asamoah is a big and powerful guard who can bolster their offensive line.

The Tampa Bay Bucs select, with the 35th pick, select...

Carlos Dunlap, DE

Dunlap is a big DE (6'6" 290-lbs) and can get to the quarterback. He will provide the Bucs with the pass rush they need.

Can someone post the next 5 teams and who's picking for them and how much time is left? Thanks.

36) Kansas City - jgl35 @ 2:10 PM, has 6 hours

37) Washington - Section516

38) Cleveland - section516

39) Oakland - Texan In Japan

40) San Diego (via/SEA) - Shaft75

Kansas City selects Jermaine Gresham TE Oklahoma

Tony Gonzalez is gone. Chiefs need someont to throw the ball to besides Dwyne Bowe. Gresharn would have been a first round pick if he declaired last draft. His injury drops him some, but the talant is still there.

Washington Redskins - Golden Tate, WR, Notre Dame.

Receiving threat to go along with the retooling of the Redskins Offense, I think Tate is a good pick here.

Cleveland Browns - Patrick Robinson, CB, Florida State - Continuing retooling the Browns secondary (and defense).

From my Iphone..Still at the hospital..

I could see Saffold, OT or maybe Dekoda Watson, LB. Watson ran the second fastest 40 of all the linebackers and that links in with Davis' approach to evaluating talent. :)

(Having Watson and Davis in the same sentence is kinda freaky. Because... that's my name.)

So that means that Seattle, and whoever picks for them, will be on the board starting 8:00 am Sunday morning right?

Texan4Ever, the results page needs to be updated as well. Thanks.

Because of the Sea. and SD trade the Chargers are on the clock.

I'm not aware of any trade between Seattle and SD and every mock site I've seen shows Seattle picking next in the 2nd round. Where's a good place to find an up to date list or drafting order by round?
