It would basically be 21-3ish if the Hilliard hadn't fumbled and the Texans had continued that sweet little opening drive. I'm happy.

We used to get wiped out regularly back in the day in the 4th preseason game because our scrubs weren't on the same level as other teams scrubs. We called those guys "starters" and "quality depth" back then. Now we're as deep as most anyone else and our scrubs play better than many other teams scrubs.

Adrian Peterson would be out of football by now if fumbles were that big a deal.

Why?.. it's worked so far.. you know some posters here and my dad.. especially my dad like to crap on the guy, but I just don't see it.. I love his style and think he's going to be a great coach.. Bill B. Does the same thing you're criticizing BTW.. the media are rats in their eyes.. why feed them?

Bill O'Brien is a good coach and you can tell he's one of those rare coaches that is still a player's coach while still firm as hell when he needs to be..rare breed.

The guy has a presence about him. He's the anti Kubiak (yes I know Kubiak won a SB.. but C'mon you can shove that up Uranus..we all know how Kubiak was and his offense didn't have jack **** to do with that..and the QB he coached signed with us just to get away from him.) He doesn't put up with bullshit and isn't afraid to make a change or say I was wrong if something isn't working.

Think about it.. He took over a team that had the #1 ovrl pick.. how many losing seasons has he had here?.. This guy has built a very talented team and with this last draft/free agency he has finally begun to imprint his vision on this team and I think we're about to break the hell out.. I've been watching this team since day one.. this is the best team I've seen on the field.. just wish our TEs would show up and the offensive line will hold up.

This is the first time he's got this many touches in a game. We don't even know if this is a trend or an anomaly.

I hope he does. Hunt has "pop" when he gets the ball. Call it whatever you want but he's got something that Hilliard and Blue don't have. There's an energy to him when he runs that neither of those guys consistently can generate.

Kind of like how Grimes is consistently tough. He runs harder than Hilliard or Blue and it shows. Not every single time but those guys run hard, then run soft for a while, and then crank out a tough run. It's not always there and you can't count on it. Grimes might be only good for 3.5 per carry but it's always there unless he just gets nothing in the way of blocking.

I'd keep Hunt and Grimes and send Blue and Hilliard packing on a laser rope with an apple and a roadmap so they could find their way through the smokey keyhole.
