**Official Game-Day Thread** Texans at Seahawks, Sunday Oct 29, 2017!!

The turnover by our young talented rookie Qb has cost us this game. I hate that and I am glad we have him. He gives us a chance to win against good teams but he also can cost us. I think this game a loss due to his inexperience. Hopefully he does not do that any more.
We're down 3 points late in the third quarter. It's a high-scoring dog fight. We have a good chance to win this game bro. Our defense has held the Seahawks offense to field goals following some critical turnovers. We're right there trying to win this game!

I know my stream's been a little behind, but is the game actually over ... ?

Kevin Johnson is blossoming into a shut-down corner right before our eyes.

I don’t know about all that. He’s regressed, probably due to injury. He was great in college and in his rookie year, but those injuries have really held him back. He’s not really had a very good game, probably mostly negative. I love the guy’s talent, but still trying to determine if he is the same guy health wise as when he was drafted.

Clowney and JJ haven't played together long enough to really learn to work together so it probably does look like JD and JJ play better without the ither one on the field. It's just an illusion though.

Doesn't matter though. They both draw flags like flies to stink when they're healthy. It's the only way to keep them from running away with the game entirely.

Two nice plays. Granted it was Jimmy Graham the tight end he knocked the ball from in the end zone. He played the ball beautifully though. 15 years watching the Texans play, I can't count how many times our defensive backs played the player and not the ball (getting called for pass interference) or still giving up the Touchdown.

game isn't over

Believe he was referring to the Johnson pass break up in the EZ by Graham. Other than that hes made some boneheaded plays, and gotten burned some. Ah well still a nice play by him and the gang.
Yep, it's a start. He's got to be consistent now. He's battled injuries the past few years. I still have faith for him yet. You know Kareem Jackson sucked a lot early in his career and started to play better by Year three.

They are dialing up the pressure. I am not sure why they have not done that more this game. They figured it out now and it will cost us this game.

I was waiting for that safety blitz. It's something I wrote about in TK's thread about keeping the offense going and how you would stop them.

Thing about Jackson is that he was always significantly better when the play was in front of him. Johnson actually showed the ability to be a shut down guy downfield. Those damn injuries have held him back, but man if he can put it together and overcome the injuries.

This OL is inexcusable. Just no way to make a case for having a line this bad at this point in OB's run.
The O-line has played quite well. Yes they gave up 4 sacks but that stat is a bit misleading. I have seen plenty of times where they gave DW plenty of time to throw the football. The Seahawks don't have a great O-line as well but they have a Qb much like ours who can make things happen when most other Qb's would throw an int or get sacked. I still say despite DW's talent at making things happen when flushed out of the pocket our O-line was not bad. They have been solid and that is better than I expected.

creating time through scheme (play-action) or through Watson extending plays is not the same as the OL playing well
the time Watson gets is manufactured not because of the OL ability

More ST blunders. Why has this been an issue for the entire existence of the Texans? It’s not freaking rocket scientry.

Whatever. However you want to see it I myself don't buy the "it is all about scheme," argument. To an extent that may be the case but to not give the O-line any credit is wrong imo.

I want to see high % plays to start this drive.....

RB screen
Read-option
Slant or Drag route to WR
movement passess

His right knee was bent back onto itself........that's how patellar tendon and quadriceps tendon injuries occur.
You have got to be the Board's respectable Reality Check.... we all need them in life, and almost always appreciate them in hindsight, but hot damn are they a tough pill to swallow haha.

If you have a canned argument then why bother to respond?
I am speaking specifically about this game, like you are.
You said the OL played well, I disagreed and told you why I thought so
