Official 1st rd Draft Commentary Thread

All I care about is we get a good defensive player... and soon! Then we get an OT. Who that is is up to the Manager. From there well, it's all up in the air. This is a crazy draft anyway. Just look at the #1 rated quarter back draft pick this year trying not to look sad.
 
If you have 3 players rated the same, then moving back three spots and getting anything is a good move. They can get the same player, pay him less, and get a third rounder next season... Casserly is the only one so far with balls enough to realize that value is subjective and not go strictly by "THE CHART".

The price for trade down was not worth it. Shoulda been a 3rd this yr. Hell keep saying no and no and no because they were desperate for Jammal Brown, make them part with their 2nd round pick.

Wow i just noticed on the little scroller at the bottom.... our Offensive Rank changed from 15th earlier to 19th now..lol
 
Of Pollack, Spears, or DJ.. Pollack would make the biggest impact in our Defense.


That being said.. if KC goes with someone besides Pollack DJ or Spears.. do you think we will try to trade down a few more slots? :).. maybe get another 3rd next year heheh
 
I want us to trade down again... I don't particularly like this year's draft class. (I don't think Cass and Company do either) I'd like more than a 3rd next year if we do trade again.

the bottom of one is going to be loaded with Defensive players the way this draft is unfolding. Denver and the Jets will be pissed that they bailed this early when they see this quality there.
 
As we speak ESPN is trying to figure out how many commercials they can run once the Chiefs make a pick.
 
I don't feel bad for Rodgers... He was overhyped (much like DJ). If not for that San Francisco media Rodgers wouldn't have even been talked about till the mid to late first round.

DJ needs a lot of work to be a great NFL player. From a homer standpoint it would be good to get a horn (since I go to UT), but I don't think he is the best available player.
