I'm not sure that the number of games he plays this season is as important as HOW he plays in the games he does manage to play.Under/over game. If I set the Number of games Noah Brown plays this year at 9.5, are ya’ll taking the over or under?
Unfortunately, it is not an uncommon happening in San Francisco.“This kind of violence is simply unacceptable in our city,” Scott said.
It’s just not San Fran but the whole state. When the next major earthquake hits that place will become Road Warrior heaven.Unfortunately, it is not an uncommon happening in San Francisco.

Suspect in Ricky Pearsall shooting is a 17-year-old boy

Police in San Francisco have identified a 17-year-old boy as the suspect in the shooting of 49ers wide receiver Ricky Pearsall.
San Francisco Police Chief William Scott said that the suspect attempted to rob Pearsall at gunpoint, a struggle ensued, multiple shots were fired, and both Pearsall and the suspect were shot by the suspect’s gun.
Police arrested the suspect as he was trying to run away. He has been identified as a 17-year-old male who resides in Tracy, California. His name has not been released and the district attorney’s office said he will be charged in juvenile court.
Scott said police have recovered the gun and that as far as they know, the suspect was acting alone and did not target Pearsall specifically because he is a player on the 49ers. Scott stressed that this is an active investigation that police have made a high priority.
“This kind of violence is simply unacceptable in our city,” Scott said.
Both Pearsall and the suspect are in stable condition.
I have been able to confirm that the bullet was a clean through and through the chest. It missed any vital structures except for the lung. As I expected, a chest tube was required for the collapsed and blood-filled lung. He is in stable condition. From the video I've watched, Pearsal's GSW was not the shoulder. It was definitely the right chest proper. There is no doubt that he required a chest tube be placed for a pneumothorax (collapse of lung) and hemothorax (blood in the lung cavity). If this gun shot was in the same area, but on the left side, it would have pierced the heart..............and he would not be with us now.
Prayers for the young man! View attachment 14390

In a press conference yesterday evening, San Francisco Chief of Police William Scott said the suspect who allegedly attempted to rob Pearsall is a 17-year-old male from Tracy. Scott said both were injured by the suspect’s gun, and that multiple shots were fired, but would not provide further detail, saying the investigation was ongoing.
He is not out of the woods, but indeed Pearsall was fortunate as it could have been much worse.
Barring complications of infection or respiration................too early to make that call...................he should be able to return to play with little compromise................short of loss of playing time for recovery.I almost hate to ask this soon, as I don’t want to appear disrespectful considering he is fighting for his life and seriously wounded…
But this is a Football board. Obviously praying for the young man, but I’m curious if his football career is over, or if this is something a well conditioned athlete can recover from and eventually resume his football career?
Pearsall has been upgraded to "Fair."
Missing the LSU/USC game tonight.Everyone takes turns trying to screw fans.............compliments, directly or indirectly, of the NFL

Disney, DirecTV move toward deadline for new deal
By Mike Florio

Earlier this summer, DirecTV showed up regularly in the news because of the Sunday Ticket antitrust trial against the NFL. Now, DirecTV returns to the headlines, due to its negotiations with Disney.
The deal between DirecTV and the various Disney-owned networks (including ABC and ESPN) expires at midnight. Absent a new contract, the networks will disappear from DirecTV, forcing customers to look elsewhere for Monday Night Football.
Last year, it happened between Disney and Charter Communications. That fight lasted from August 31 until just before the Week 1 game between the Bills and the Jets.
The situation hasn’t gotten ugly, yet. But it’s moving in that direction. DirecTV has launched UnbundleDisney.com, which makes the against Disney and its desire to tie various networks together, regardless of whether consumers want them.
These things usually get worked out. And maybe this one hasn’t gotten more press because DirecTV is a dying platform. It has fallen from a peak of 21 million subscribers to under 9 million.
Regardless, that’s a lot of people who won’t be able to watch Monday Night Football, if Disney and DirecTV can’t work this out.
Total lack of class on the fans part imo.Unfortunately, this is far from the exception of how disgustingly classless many NFL fans react...............especially with the addition of alcohol.

Colts fans didn't give a rats rear end for Luck - they were more concerned that they would be in QB purgatory again.Total lack of class on the fans part imo.
This is the typical type of BS publicity the Browns routinely produce. A whole article based on a scout's opinion and grandiose prediction.............................a scout who is never named...........................

One thing that should be mentioned is that Ricky Pearsall had been sidelined with a shoulder injury since August 6. He subluxed (partially dislocated) his shoulder. It’s the same injury he suffered in the spring during OTAs when the 49ers were conducting non-padded practices. This is the same shoulder subluxation that he suffered in the junior year of his college career. The two subluxations this offseason, injuries that occurred without him being tackled...............just raising his arm for a high catch. After his OTA subluxation, the 49ers have had him in a blue jersey............a non-contact jersey (no participation in preseason games)..............and I found a video of him wearing a shoulder brace.Barring complications of infection or respiration................too early to make that call...................he should be able to return to play with little compromise................short of loss of playing time for recovery.
I don't know how this is going to shake out in the regular season, but in the preseason I didn't see anyone try what my strategy would be on these kickoffs. See if my kicker can consistently kick it low and hard into the landing zone. Those would be most difficult to field and provide an added bonus that if they roll into the EZ, the ball goes out to 20. Just floating it into the landing zone makes them easy to field and at least start a return. Both teams are already lined up in the collision zone, so hang time doesn't matter...

In Texans 2nd game? I guess I missed it. What kind of penalty? Again, it's different and would need to be practiced...Both kickers tried it in the second preseason game. I think it drew a penalty each time
Maybe it wasn't a penalty, but didn't make it to the landing zone so ball was placed at the 40?In Texans 2nd game? I guess I missed it. What kind of penalty? Again, it's different and would need to be practiced...
yeah, that's obviously something you want to avoid in that scenarioMaybe it wasn't a penalty, but didn't make it to the landing zone so ball was placed at the 40?
