NFL.com Mock Drafts 2015

I don't see the talent differential between Agholor and Erving or Peters.

Erving and Peters are arguably the best Center and Corner, respectively, in the entire draft. Agholor could be great but I'd rather use a first round pick on someone that isn't solidly in the 2nd tier of wideouts in the draft.

The Texans aren't taking Gregory. Gordon would be interesting, but I can't see the Texans taking a RB that high. I just don't see QB or RB in the 1st.

I think it's more likely that the Texans take Gregory than people think, between Crennel and Johnathan Joseph's perspective. Gordon I at least like way better than Gurley at 16th if we HAVE to take someone without trading down.

Having said that, clearly this mock is worst case scenario for the Texans. Which is why a trade up for a top WR or edge rusher, or down for extra picks is the way to go. Maybe the Texans could drum up a market for Gordon on draft night?

Also possible.

Agholor is getting the same kind of disrespect from draftniks as Odell Beckham got last year. I remember people blasting the Giants for taking him #12. That went well.

Haha, what disrespect did Beckham get? He was pretty consistently a top 10/15 pick in terms of projection.

I could live with Agholor and McKinney, no problems with these picks. I've got to disagree with BL, I think Perimann is overrated due to his speed, and speed isn't everything if you can't run routes. Also Rollins is a 1 yr. wonder that I'd pass on, wouldn't surprise me to see him fall on draft day.

For argument sake I merely posed a question. But yeah if asking for my opinion then yes we disagree, point blank. If I'm going to reach for a WR I would like to have some size & speed, hence Perriman. Both have second round grades to me, remember who's mock this is - DJ (if he was so good then why isn't he doing it today for an NFL team?) that whole NFL.COM crew is crazy about this WR class, Mayock has 8 WR's with first round grades, c'mon Mike (ourlads 5). McKinney I don't like at all, liability in coverage, stiff in the hips & will be draw his share of roughing flags. Listen I want smart players & maybe you don't agree but he is not one. Rollins looks like a natural to me, ballhawk, his basketball directly transfers to the football field, quick study, no reason to think he won't continue to improve unless you know something your not telling us/me?

The top tier of WRs was solidly considered to be Watkins and Evans only.

After that you had Beckham, Cooks, and Benjamin. There were some national guys who had Beckham as the #5 WR in the draft.

I remember when I ranked him as my #1 WR I had to defend myself against a frenzied pack of wolves on this site for daring to even rank him among the first tier, and to rank him above Watkins and Evans was blasphemy.

Agholor isn't the player that Beckham is. But he is suffering a little bit from perceived bias that he is so far behind the top three that he isn't worth a high selection. I don't think that's true. And I'm not so sure that Cooper (my #3) is really that much better than Agholor (my #4).

Asking a question because I don't know.

In this draft, do you think there are more or less than 32 players with a first round grade?

That isn't really disproving my point, though; I go to LSU and I would've ranked Watkins and Evans ahead of Beckham. He was still pretty consistently ranked as a high draft pick.

I'm not super-high on Cooper, either, so that isn't helping me. I'll definitely start watching his tape now since even McShay (:spit:) is mocking him to us in his 5.0 mock draft over guys like Erving, Dupree, and even Danny Shelton who went one pick after. All of those guys are arguably the No. 1 at their position and instead we go for the 5th-6th wideout on the board? At 16th overall?

If at #11, Vikings did go CB that would leave both White and Parker on board and at #12 one is taken, no other team between us seems to take WR, we would have the receiver not taken #12. Me likey that.

New Orleans at #13 and Miami at #14 have both been heavily linked to WR's. San Francisco at #15 has not, but they need WR's badly and if one of the top 3 fell to them I could see them pulling the trigger.

We are unlikely to face a scenario where one of the top WR's falls into our lap.

If the Texans feel one of these three wide receivers is their guy then they will most likely need to, and should, move up to get them if possible.
