Next up: Titans

If the Tits want a QB next year they will start the 2nd team. A loss would give them 1-3 in draft and a win could be 6-9. Let's help them get a new QB

In a game I probably wouldn't care a lot about, other than it being that stupid Tennessee collection of inbreds and stupid owners, they have at least made this game mildly interesting by wearing their Oiler uniforms. I now almost care.

Meh.....in about a week and a half we'll have been mercilessly tossed out of the wild card round and the lamenting and gnashing of teeth shall begin. DeMeco and Caserio better get this **** fixed this offseason.

Texans open at 3 point favorites. Now one point dog. I guess someone said Texans best players sitting out

I think it’s important to win this game. The Texans have been struggling and a win against the cosplaying Oilers should provide them with some confidence going into the wild card game.

I think they are in 1.2 currently and they might not value either Ward or Sanders as worth that pic and decide to trade down.

Why can't she be both? 😂
Yes I would imagine she's both and then some.
Actually a woman of her great wealth would probably be considered eccentric and not goofey.
Trying to start some shixx with the McNair clan is likely just a sort of amusemen for her.
You know her ole man was a very colorful character.

Meh, no matter what happens.... you cant erase the fact that at their unveiling your team lost as the "Oilers".

IF a win against the Texans is all that matters to her and brings tears of joy to her eyes.... I hope she never has that joy again.

IF a measly win against us keeps the Titans and Titans fans in purgatory (Not Colorado, I hear its nice there).

Then.... I guess that might be a silver lining to any loss against the Titans the Texans may face.

Fudge the Titans, bunch of ice cream holes.

I bet the Titans will come out and play with elevated energy. They suck, but can also get the opportunity to sweep the Texans (whom they beat already for their only divisional win this season) and I don't think they're concerned about the #1 draft pick. We better not take this game for granted nor bring a lackadaisical effort. But I wonder if at some point will DeMeco consider pulling some starters.

Please tell me you're not interpreting the Titans DC with that same 3rd grade exegesis.

as an aside the Titans DC says, "They're efficient at running their system." So we know we can disregard anything he says as coach speak.
No im just posting different information that I come across. He also saint our offense is predictable.

The defending SB champs are a 10.5 pt dog at Denver tomorrow which is probably the best illustration of not knowing what to expect
in games this weekend involving teams that have secured a P/O berth which of course includes our Texans.
Of course the Chiefs opponent still has a shot at the P/Os while our opponents season is effectively over with nothing to play for.
So I really dunno how to handicap our game tomorrow ?

Well, the tears of last game from Amy Skunk makes me think they aren't playin for nothing. Even IF their season has been over, even IF a win would potentially hurt their drafting position... the one that signs the checks would love nothing more than to sweep the AFCS champ.

I already doubt CJ plays - or if he does, only the first series or two depending on how many snaps he gets in the first.

Yep. Huge movement in the lines this week.
Ravens opened at -4.5 and went to -20.
Tampa from -2.5 to -14
KC -4 to +10
Rams -5.5 to +7

Even games where there isn't much on the line, if anything:
Packers from -3 to -10
Niners -4 to +4.5
Dallas -5.5 to +6.5
Handicapping nightmare.

Even the Texans opened at -3 and are now +1.5. I guess the thinking is starters play just a half or so? Personally I'm telling the offensive starters they need to score 3 TD before they can sit. But yeah, meaningless game and playoffs next week and whatever. They just need to get the taste of that Ravens game out they mouths.

Me….I’d announce Mills as the starter. Reason, we’ve seen CJ for 16 games and pretty much know what he can do. Mills on the other hand, should get a start under his belt with the first team in the event CJ were to go down for any length of time in the WC Game. At least Slowick wouldn’t be relegated to calling run, false start, run, pass, holding, pass sequences in the event Mills had to come in.

Only problem with that is that we’ve seen Mills too and know what he can(t) do.

The starters have to play and have to have some success in this Nashville game. They can’t go into the playoffs having what they did on Christmas Day be the last thing they did.

And if they shit the bed there, well then it probably doesn’t matter because they ain’t going anywhere anyway.

For this year, they aren't going anywhere in the playoffs. This team has way to many problems that will need fixing in the offseason with the draft and free agency.

Fix the QB problem & their other problems aren't much different than every other team in the playoffs. & by "fix" the QB problem I just mean for the kid to nut-up & kick some as

Yeah, so say the QB "nuts up" but the play calling is the same as we have seen and the line still sucks? Then what?

Yes, CJ has his problems but the dumpster fire pf an offense, like any fire has 3 contributing factors. Line, coaching and QB. Unfortunately unlike any normal fire solving one of these factors alone doesn't solve the problem. Its a step in the right direction.... BUT CJ would still be scrambling for his life far more than he should and there would still be little to no adjustments in the second half.

That wont cut it in the playoffs

If the defense plays at the high level they've played most of the year, it will be enough, even in the playoffs.

Cj is that tide that raises all boats. Bobby Slowik will get HC interviews, our 3rd WR will get 100 yard games, it's going to look like we have a TE & Mixon will blow the place up.

And then I woke up from this amazing dream..

I volunteered to work weekends at our new facility and I got rid of Hulu (w/local channels). I can't justify the time and money spent on them. Counselors don't get paid a lot and the only reason I was buying Hulu was to watch the Texans.

That said, I hope the Texans give y'all a great, dominating performance tomorrow.

Now if there is a huge movement on our offensive line we in the money! After seeing Skattebo puking on the sideline, I need to clarify I don't mean a bowel movement.

Excuses. Excuses. And excuses. As a QB, NOTHING is ever perfect. CJ has missed wide open receivers even when he has had time. Pretending to act like the line is the sole problem will not help. Neither will the QB running out of bounds behind the LOS like David Carr.

Reading comprehension is a good skill to have.

A skill you clearly are lacking if you read that post and think I implied that the line is the sole problem.

Let me spell it out:
QB
Line
Coaching

Are ALL liabilities and simply solving one of those issues doesn't make this team ready.

A great QB can overcome the other two

Rodgers specifically in Green Bay, had multiple 50 plus sack seasons. Bad play calling. Russell Wilson also had multiple seasons early on where he took a lot of sacks.

Because Rodgers hadn’t completed 2 full seasons at that point right? Gotcha.
