And a new freaking TE.
I would also look for a new RT in next years draft.
I guess I should have checked my spelling first to.V Man said:Did you read my mind or what? I was looking on how to spell Lutui, when your post appeared.
Personally, I think it is very realistic for next year.
ccdude730 said:as much as we saw out of pitts at guard, i dont think we see him return to that position. he will remain a tackle, whether it be on the left or right side
gtexan02 said:He has the presence to really excel at guard if the tackle next to him could hold his own

LT-Pitts
LG-McKinney
C-Hodgon
RG-Jean-Gilles
RT-Weigert
I think Bush (and Kubiak) would make these guys look formidable
Without Bush:
LT- Ferguson
LG- Pitts
C- Bentley
RG-Jean-Gilles
RT- Weigert
Signing a franchise LT costs less than Bush freeing up more $ to sign free agents (Bentley)
Honestly, I'd be more excited about the first scenario (with Bush)

I doubt Hutchinson gets released and even if he does, I really doubt he comes here. I think we could land LeCharles Bentley in free agency though. I would prefer Davin Joseph to Max Jean-Gilles because I think he is a better fit in zone blocking. I also prefer Eric Winston to D'Brickashaw Ferguson.
oso said:I dropped Wade because the guy doesn't know the schemes. He's expensive, but it's more costly not to have the best linemen out there.
I like the idea of Joseph(or Jean-Gilles) and Winston to improve the atheticism of the line. Losing McKinney helps that too. 2 questions though:MorKnolle said:LT Chester Pitts

How can we get 2 good O-linemen with the picks we have- do you think Winston will drop into the 3rd round because of injury concerns? Or are you advocating we trade down?
Secondly, how much of a downgrade would it be if we can't get Bentley and started Hodgon at center? Personally I would rather see Drew at center than McKinney- Steve just seems lost there and has for a long time.

Kubiak's first meeting with the Texans current o-line: "All of you need to lose 15lbs-20lbs. by minicamp in the summer."
Kaiser Toro said:I thought that is how we started the last camp.
Runner said:Interesting point. I've seen it a couple of places now. The question is why doesn't he know the schemes? Was it him or the coaching?
oso said:Good point. I tend to execrate Pendry for anything doing with the O-line, so I don't want to put the blame on Wade yet. That is an issue that needs to be resolved before the pre-season.
Runner said:It was an honest question - I certainly don't know the answer and don't know enough about it to form a valid opinion.
